Our stay in Setberg was wonderful. Agnes met us upon arrival to give us the keys and show us around. Our apartment had 2 bedrooms (the beds are so comfortable) a well equipped kitchen and a lovely bathroom (loved the shower!). Of course, then there's also the view from the balcony: mountain range and sunrise at 3:30 In the morning we were greeted by a super cute and friendly dog and a fluffy kitty <3 Would love to return someday.

The hosts were great, greeted us even at the late time we arrived and asked us about our trip and where we've been and where we're going and gave us some helpful tips (only host we had that did that) they upgraded us to a better room and we had some frozen food with us that we couldn't cook and the hosts went above and beyond and cooked the food for us! We were delighted by their hospitality. The room was great, Its location was far and quite remote but that just made it even more enjoyable for us as it was in a prime location to watch the northern lights If you're planning to stay in Egilsstaðir this is the place for you

Wonderful host. Loved the animals (chickens, pigs, ducks, sheep…) on the farm. Great horseback ride in the morning. I highly recommend calling before you arrive to arrange a horseback ride.
