Pov is kind, helpful, friendly and generous (and a great singer!). He is a happy person and he spreads it around. It felt like being at the home of a friend. I couldn't trek during my stay, but I would definitely do it next time.

Truly exceeded all expectations. Not only is the location and accommodation beautiful, but the host is also someone you can trust should you need any help. Having been a guide for over 20 years, he was able to answer all my questions thoroughly, with insight that went beyond the surface level of a typical tour. When my bike from Siem Reap broke down while we were on a tour, he not only immediately diagnosed the issue but pushed me back to his friend's shop, where the bike was promptly fixed, for a local price. He helped me as if I were a friend, rather than someone he had just met. And if that is not already reason enough, I encourage people to stay here because your stay also contributes to constructing the onsite school where the host teaches English to the local children.

Host spoke good English and offered a family supper each night for $2.50 and delicious breakfast each morning (unsure of cost). There are scooters available to rent for $8/day, helmet and a tank of gas included. Very unique trees growing there which have long dangling tendrils like a curtain which surrounds the eating area and down the pathway to the private rooms. Money made from hosting helps provide free English classes for poor children. The dormitory accommodation was 4 beds side by side with brick half walls in between. When I stayed, only females had booked them, so I felt very safe. Price was extremely reasonable given the primitive bathroom and close sleeping quarters. Towel provided.

The home was quiet and surrounded by lush green plants with a great view overlooking the village. An easy walk to the downtown. While there the family was incredibly helpful, kind and caring. They provided information about trekking, buses, local tips and more. Very genuine people and would highly recommend staying here while in Banlung.

The name says it all - if you are looking for a tribal village homestay, this is really the perfect place to be. The bamboo bungalows are fantastic and have a bath and mosquito nets for the bed. The owner speaks fluently english and he and his family will help you whenever and wherever they can. He is also a perfect guide for tours and jungle trekking and can tell you so much about ethnic minorities, local plants, animals and the khmer culture. Small country, big heart - that you will find here.

The host was excellent, very helpful, ready to organise anything we needed. He also shared stories and information about the people from the minority villages and that part of Cambodia in general. The room was clean, basic but sufficient for good night sleep before and after jungle trekking. His house is a little piece of paradise in loud and dusty Banlung

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Happy Guesthouse. The room was spacious, the neighborhood was cozy, and the owner was very welcoming. Indeed, I embarked on an adventurous route recommended by the guesthouse owner, which took me through the Veun Sai-Siem Pang National Park. It was an unforgettable experience, cycling through savannah-like landscapes and passing by multiple tribal villages. Thanks for the tips! It was fantastic.

Incredibly nice and open-hearted family with lots of good visions for the future. The self-built homestay has a detailed and charming character and eating together at the family table was very personal and nice(and of course very delicious). In addition, my friend and I got a good impression of the weekly English lessons that they give for free to the children of the village. They also have a good and customizable offer for jungle trekking with local guides. Thanks for the nice time and my recommendation.

Very friendly and heartwarming family. I like the style the camp is built. They care for nature and environment and try to change something around the region. English class for free for the kids from the village, recycled materials used for building and reduced plastic use. You just feel welcomed there.

Great experience. The family is lovely and amazing. Vuthy and Ney are doing great for the village and for sharing their way of living to the tourists. The food was so good and it was nice to participate the English lesson and cooking. The bungalow is a bit small and not so confortable but it's nothing according to the price. I highly recommend it.

Tribal Village is a wonderful homestay with clean and cozy bungalows in a beautiful garden. Smey will go out of his way to make your stay as pleasant as possible, while his wife will spoil you with fabulous food. The value for money is incredible! We can highly recommend.

Mr Pov and his family were very welcoming to us in their beautiful home. Mr Por speaks excellent English and it made the evenings talking with him really enjoyable and helped us learn a lot about life in the area. He also came trekking with us as well as two guides from a village near the jungle. The trek was challenging at times but the destination was beautiful and the food and drinks by the river in the evening were magical.
