Maria and her husband are incredibly kind and helpful. They both speak English and are a wealth of information about Masaya, the volcano and onward travel to Granada (or I’m sure Léon, if one is going that way). The apartment is above a small shop, and although sparsely decorated, it was nice to have a “living room” separate from the bedroom. They served us fresh fruits and coffee in the morning for a fair price. I wish Maria and her husband all the best with their new endeavor. As of early February 2023, they have only been open a little over one month. I highly recommend a stay in Masaya and definitely at Casa Maria. Thank you both for a lovely stay!

The place is like an art gallery. It is full of nice welcome details, beautiful wall decorations, comfy reading areas, and plenty of room to relax. The staff is superb. Adela helped us checking in, and made sure that we were all good, our pouch included! Definitely recommend.

The host Carlos and his wife are so lovely! The accommodations are simple and very clean, situated in a separate building from their home. I mentioned I had caught a cold, and they prepared me a special traditional tea to help with my symptoms - and they also insisted that I fill my thermos with it for later. Their kindness is what makes their accommodation so special.

Carlos is the best host and made our time in Grenada excellent. His recommendations are excellent and the tour he gives is an awesome experience from someone who is a Grenada local. The hotel is super peaceful, a hummingbird hung out at the flowers in the courtyard, breakfast is simple but delicious.
