A reataurant, tea room, 2 different indoor Onsens, Sauna, outdoor Onsens. The rooms are very large and the bathrooms are quite big too, felt more like an apartment than a room to be honest! Fantastic stay, highlight of my trip.

The service from hotel personnel was outstanding and they did their best to make us feel comfortable and also they were extremely helpful when we ask for support and questions. Also, the snacks, coffee and tea offered by the hotel after 5 pm was nice and we loved it.

Ideally located just a 10-minute walk from the iconic Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Guesthouse Soi offers various rooms including private Japanese-style rooms and dormitory rooms. Both Kiyomizu Gojo and Shichijo stations for the Keihan Main Line are situated within a 10-minute walk. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. Excellent hosts - they were very supportive with literally anything, be it sending luggages from Kyoto to our next destination or checking our itinerary and giving advices how to make it better. When arrived to Kyoto we followed their advice regarding taxi to take us and our suitcases to the hotel door so we’ve never suffered from taking them uphill. This really felt as if we are going to our friends and being supported in each step. Rooms and shared facilities were clean, tatami floor and futon beds were soo comfortable. We also enjoyed the breakfast which was provided for free, even though we didn’t try their special Japanese breakfast. Location is not too far from Gion and other main attractions, so we were able to explore to the fullest.:) Overall, definitely recommend staying at Guesthouse Soi!

Seikoro Ryokan is located in Kyoto, a 7-minute drive from JR Kyoto Station. Featuring traditional Japanese-style accommodation, it offers a public bath and massage services. Free Wi-Fi access is available at the entire property. Staying at Seikoro Ryokan was a truly unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with warmth and exceptional hospitality. We enjoyed an exquisite 8-course Japanese dinner, featuring the freshest fish and beautifully presented dishes, followed by a delicious traditional Japanese breakfast the next morning. Sleeping in the traditional style, on comfortable floor mattresses, added to the authenticity and charm of the stay. The room was perfectly air-conditioned and overlooked a serene and beautifully maintained zen garden, offering a sense of peace and calm. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches—yukata robes provided for dinner and the onsen, as well as comfortable sleepwear. Thank you once again for such a wonderful and memorable stay. We hope to return one day!

This 4-star homestay offers a lift and luggage storage space. The property is 2 km from the city centre and 1.3 km from Sanjusangen-do Temple. The host Kevin was very friendly and very communicative. He provided suggestions for things to do in the area. You could reach him through WhatsApp at any time. He provides free water and washing powder for laundry. He even offered to drive us to the train station when we were leaving, which we happily accepted. The rooms are clean and spacious and has all the basics you need. The hotel is also conveniently located by a quiet stream and easy to reach by bus and metro.

Minn Gion is located in the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, 600 metres from Gion Shijo Station, less than 1 km from Shoren-in Temple and 1.7 km from Heian Shrine. It is situated 300 metres from Samurai Kembu Kyoto and provides a 24-hour front desk. The accommodation features spa facilities, free WiFi throughout the property and family rooms. Thank you so much for the nice stay. The room was very spacious and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. All the space was clean and furnished really well. Hotel is near train station and bus stop. We can honestly recommend Minn Gion and I’m sure we will reserve room the next time in Kyoto.
