Overall, I would highly recommend to stay here. It is also possible to organize a safari trip. The price seems fair, and the driver will pick you up directly from the house. I was very satisfied with how well it was organized.

It's located on the edge of a wetland teeming with birds and has a raised platform for viewing or enjoying your meals. Hosts were extremely kind and attentive. I used the TukTuk service of the host on 2 days, his prices were more than fair, but more importantly, he quickly got a good read on what would interest me and made many impromptu stops pointing out things that interested me. I never felt rushed. Highly recommend, especially for bird watchers. This place lived up to its high rating score.

We get all needed tips how to get to places we wanted to visit on our own/by bus, but also get arranged tuk tuk when it was needed to save some time (very reliable and worth recommending driver) Nice location with bus stand to Kandy just in front of the hotel and close to the center (800m) where bus to Polonnaruwa/Anuradhapura can be caught

Bottle of water in the room :) The bed was ABSOLUTELY one of the most comfortable ones we ever had in Sri Lanka & with a mosquito net, fan & AC. The bathroom was spacious & clean :) There was a water heater for the shower :) If we're ever back in Anuradhapura, we'll stay there :) Restaurant & shop nearby.

The owner Jeewa is ready to assist you and organize for you everything you might need - from transport, Ayurveda massage, safari, daily trips or ginger biscuits 😀 They have a lovely daughter Oleena and we hope she will be the second generation manager of the home stay. His lovely wife Masha cooked traditional food for dinner and we love it. The room is very big and clean, as well as the bathroom. You will have a lovely private terrace and spectacular quite mornings with birds songs. And, of course you will have a breakfast. The location is in the forest and it's perfect spot for those who want to escape main road and traffic noise, but it's only 10-15 min walk to it. There is some small markets around in case you need something, a Buddhist temple, nice restaurants and of course all Jeewa's support. They helped shape are itinerary and suggestions additions that were fantastic, eg Sri Lankan dance show at the cultural centre, organising a fabulous yoga teacher, as well as great safari. Relaxed and happy vibe to the place with lovely pool area.

The property has pool views and is 10 km from Pidurangala Rock and 11 km from Sigiriya Rock. The accommodation provides airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. We loved our stay at Visu Villa. The owner was very welcoming and helpful since our arrival, he helped us organize all our excursions and he gave us great recommendations on where to go. We had an issue with the air conditioning in one of our rooms and he fixed it immediately. The breakfast was very good as well.
