Good base to explore the Wicklow area, Glendalough, Powerscourt etc. Also close to the village; only a few minutes by car to the supermarket. Louise is very attention to details: she puts fresh flowers around the house and was careful to follow my complex dietary requirements for the delicious generous breakfast she cooks herself with ingredients from her own garden. The house and the room were very clean and the garden well maintained. Louise is very kind and caring and gave us some off the tracks walking ideas and tips for restaurants. This was a lovely introduction to coastal Ireland. The location was perfect and the hotel was really comfortable. The staff were so happy and accommodating with a request for extra towels brought to our room immediately. The restaurant was very busy but the staff handled it all with a smile. The piano bar at night was entertaining and food was delicious. The younger ones in our group loved the club downstairs. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment and were pleasantly surprised with the size of the kitchen and the washing machine!! The beds were very comfortable. We didn't hear any of the noise from the club downstairs. The beautiful beach and promenade across the road gives everything a very relaxed vibe even though it was a bank holiday weekend and the town was super busy. Overall it was a very enjoyable place to stay.
