One of my favorite hotels in all five trips I've done to Iceland. The staff are helpful and friendly and the place is very warm and cozy. The view of the lake from the room is perfect for viewing the northern lights right from your bed!!! The breakfast and dinner are excellent.

We really enjoyed staying here, the layout and design of the cabins was refreshing and wonderful. Our hosts were extremely friendly and provided us with all the information we needed to explore the area. The beds were very comfortable too, and the serenity of the location was just breathtaking.

The hosts were great, greeted us even at the late time we arrived and asked us about our trip and where we've been and where we're going and gave us some helpful tips (only host we had that did that) they upgraded us to a better room and we had some frozen food with us that we couldn't cook and the hosts went above and beyond and cooked the food for us! We were delighted by their hospitality. The room was great, Its location was far and quite remote but that just made it even more enjoyable for us as it was in a prime location to watch the northern lights If you're planning to stay in Egilsstaðir this is the place for you

The property is located in beautiful and natural surroundings. one of our best stays in Iceland! to top it all the owner Asdis is a wonderful person who had great tips and was always available for help. She makes yummy chia and fruit yoghurt! The property has a hot tub in the beautiful outdoors and we had the most relaxing time enjoying it! A must go place if you plan to be in the area!

This is a hostel not an hotel and is a quality stay for what it is. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. Showers and toilets were close to the rooms and were sufficient in number. The kitchen was was good too. Happy hour from 3 til 7 a bonus.
