We had adjoining rooms with our three sons ages 18-23. I liked that they each had their own bed instead of a pull out sofa. Shower was hot with good pressure. We faced the parking lot side which wasn’t a huge deal because we were essentially only there to sleep. We had a door out to the smallest balcony I’ve ever seen. Just big enough to stand on it. We kept the window and door open for a while to cool the room off until we noticed all the midges coming in! Plus we could smell people smoking outside…staff was friendly and check-in and out was smooth. We chose to include breakfast and it was wonderful. Many options from pastries, breads, yogurt, fruit, smoked salmon, and hot items like scrambled eggs, bacon, and fried eggs. We had dinner there which was good but very $$$$. I think it’s the most we spent ever on dinner but admittedly we did indulge a bit getting a cocktail and dessert.

This hotel is quietly located 1.2 mi from Lake Mývatn and 30 minutes’ drive from the Godafoss Waterfall and Krafla Crater. It offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with modern furnishings.

Thank you for the incredible experience we had during our recent stay at your beautiful hotel. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect—just down the road from the Myvatn hot springs, which made exploring the area so convenient. They also provide a 10% discount if booked through them. Both on-site restaurants were good, offering nice meals and a cozy atmosphere. We especially enjoyed relaxing in the lounge, where Tomas, your talented bartender, made our evenings memorable with his great service and friendly conversation. This was the best laid out cabin we stayed in. Plenty of seating, nice dining area, porch with chairs. The breakfast was excellent with a great view of the lake! We got discounts at the Myvatn bath- great way to end the day!

Excellent breakfast buffet with a selection of traditional Icelandic dishes like pickled herring! The staff were friendly and helpful answering our questions. They have a hot tub nearby and provide guests with thick robes to wear-ask for them at the front desk. The front desk also has a coffee station. The lobby is decorated with taxidermied birds and animals local to the area. We recommend the nearby bird museum and the park headquarters.
