We had a room looking over the lake. Big windows and marvelous view. Very well decorated, excellent service, sauna also looking over the lake. Excellent breakfast.

we signed up for northern lights alerts and they tapped on the door when the lights were sighted! Very appreciated. Dinner was terrific and the breakfast was generous. Beautiful location!

Excellent all around. Guests have the entire top floor of a lovely two-story house, which is very spacious, comfortable and quiet. There are modern furnishings mixed with older items drawn from the owner’s family, which are quite unique. Great views from the second-story windows and porch of Lake Myvatn, steaming geothermal features in the distance, and the lava fields, and there is a steam vent right outside the front door. Excellent location for exploring the Myvatn area. The hosts are a delight: very friendly and helpful. Don’t forget to ask for a loaf of bread, baked underground by the geothermal heat.

Lovely little room that gave us a perfect view of the northern lights in the evening. We were also very excited to greet the floofy dog on the property when we went over for breakfast in the morning. Breakfast was very good, and I was very excited they had a waffle maker!

This was the best hotel we stayed in Iceland. The free amenities (Sauna, Hot tub, pool billiard, bathrobe, flip flops, etc.) and the free breakfast were just great. The room was modern and spacious. The northern lights wake up call is a wonderful free service (we didn't have any luck though). The location is incredible across from a volcano walking trail. Seriously, we were so excited when we saw what the hotel offers for such little money (in March). Will definitely stay here again when I return. Thank you!
