Brand new property that is well built and laid out! It has multiple, very private rooms that are all on their own levels and a shared, fully stocked kitchen, quality sheets and towels plus parking for scooters. I stayed in the king room with balcony and AC which was massive, had a comfortable bed, a desk and overlooked the neighbourhood, that regularly had peacocks and monkeys running across the neighbour’s roofs. Lastly, Rachel was such an incredible host and made everything seamless. Highly recommend! To think I almost didn’t book because there were no reviews! That would have been a mistake!

I stayed four nights in this hotel. The hotel has a very good location. It’s situated in a quiet area, which makes it perfect for relaxing. The beach is only a 10-minute walk away, although during the daytime it’s better to take a tuk-tuk because of the heat and humidity. The hospitality of the hosts is truly incredible. They welcome you with fresh juice, which immediately makes you feel at home. Every morning there is a freshly prepared breakfast — pancakes or an omelet — and it’s such a lovely way to start the day. The room is extremely clean, which is something I really value and appreciate in any hotel. There is air conditioning, everything feels brand new, and they also provide drinking water every day. If you need a tuk-tuk and there isn’t one nearby, they are always happy to help arrange it for you. The twins who run the place are very kind and welcoming. I truly wish them great success, because this is a business that deserves to grow and sustain. The price is very reasonable for the level of cleanliness and service you receive. Honestly, I have nothing negative to add. Everything I needed was provided, and I felt very comfortable during my stay. Highly recommended.

The place is ideally locate - close to everything, yet in a very quiet area. The bed is super king and is really comfortable to sleep on. My friend and I had more space rather than with 2 twin beds. The host is a lovely family, they serve Sri Lankan breakfast to your terrace at the time you ask them for. AC and Fan are quiet and efficient. If we could extend our stay - we absolutely would.

Where nice stay and Tinhu is a great guy he helped me with everything. The rooms are new and very clean. The beach is a seven minutes walk away. I will come back!

Lovely place with excellent value for money. The hosts are super sweet, the breakfast is delicious (we got to try different Sri Lankan dishes), the rooms are basic but have everything one needs (mosquito net, chairs, clothes line outside) - plus they are very clean! The location is great to access two beaches, and there are great family restaurants just a few minutes away to both sides of the home stay. Would recommend 100% 🙏

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Harbor Moon Hiriketiya during my travels in Sri Lanka. The property is incredibly spacious, offering a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere throughout my stay. It's location is perfect just a short distance from both Hiriketiya Beach and Blue Beach, making it ideal for anyone looking to enjoy some of the most beautiful areas nearby. The hotel itself is truly luxurious with a modern design that immediately makes you feel at ease. Everything is thoughtfully arranged and the attention to detail really stands out. All facilities are available and well maintained ensuring a convenient and enjoyable experience from start to finish. The home made breakfast was simply superb. fresh, delicious and the perfect way to start the day. Overall, this is easily one of the best places I’ve stayed in Sri Lanka. We loved how quiet this pocket of Hiri was - still walking distance to everything, but not as heavily foot trafficked. The family looked after us beautifully and we loved the antics of the local monkeys.

I booked this property based on a review written by a family similar to ours. And the open air bathroom. We are a family of 4 with a 5 yr old girl and 2 year old boy. We rented the large family suite and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Less then 5 mins from the beach, large comfortable double beds with mosquito nets, a shared kitchenette, large comfortable bathroom with hot water and AC. The owners were such lovely accommodating people. The best part was the location. Hiritekiya is an Instagramy digital nomady hotspot, and Jungle Escape is located in the less developed part of the beach. So we were close to everything but in a more tranquil environment.

Front of the beautiful beach. Really nice garden to relax. One surf spot is right next to it so you can check the waves all the time. The owner is Shan really nice and helps you with everything. Such a beautiful and relaxing place :))

The location is perfect, its walking distance everywhere. Its super clean and fresh. Safety 100% The staff were more than amazing, friendly, helpful. I can’t to be back to Hiriketiya and stay at the same hotel. Ask for Kumara, he is the best 🙏🏻

We had an amazing stay at the Blue Ocean Tree House with a private garden. There’s only one house so you don’t have any neighbors. Our host family was so kind and the Sri Lankan was very delicious and very filling. We’d definitely stay here again if we had the chance. Bike rent for a reasonable price is also available.

Amazing value for money, new and clean.

Everything! The place itself is truly a diamond, it is located in a small town with beautiful beaches, nature and local people. The location of the home is perfect - it is near to both the Blue Beach and Hiriketiya Beach. My room is so clean and comfortable, I always have a good night sleep. The best part is meeting the lovely family of Damith, Madu and their two cute sons. They are the kindest people I’ve ever met, we had really nice conversations in the veranda every morning which I will always cherish. They welcomed me more than just a guest but as part of their family and for that I am very very grateful. I loved every bit of my stay here that I never want to leave (I even extended my stay twice 🤪). Everything is just so special in this place! And the breakfast — amazing! Thank you very much Madu and Damith for your hospitality, thank you for the curry leaves, curry seeds and mangoes for takeway. Thank you also Damith for taking me to the bus station with your scooter 😊 And of course to Madu, thank you for the best conversations and the most delicious breakfast you make for me every morning! The villa was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with a beautiful garden and private parking. We also really appreciated having a kitchen available for our personal use, which made the stay even more convenient. The location was perfect — just a short distance from the beach area and ideal for exploring Hiriketiya and the surroundings. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, especially when arranging a rental bike for us at a very affordable price. Breakfast was absolutely amazing: a delicious, authentic Sri Lankan breakfast, prepared with care and love. We were also pleasantly surprised by a small gift they gave us, which was such a thoughtful and lovely gesture.
