It was everything I expected for a tranquil, peaceful place in the wilderness down the street from the beach. I hope I'm able to go here again in the future.

Brilliant ecolodge directly on a perfect, stunning, empty beach. Laid-back, chill, friendly vibes. Lunch and dinner are chef’s choice but tasty and can be made vegetarian. Best to bring a few things, such as snacks, soap, beach towel, etc. Excellent stay—a real gem.

If you want to relax in beautiful surroundings, eat delicious fresh food cooked by the super nice host Mike himself, walk to the beach or the waterfalls, live in perfect little cabanas with a/c, ceiling fan, private bathroom, and just unwind in an idyllic place, then you have to visit Torio and stay at Los Piños! I stayed a week, but it should have been two....thank you, Mike and the great staff!

Ocekepala has a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Palmilla. Guests can have a drink at the snack bar.

Find Chepo on the map! Its a higher-altitude hamlet in the rural mountains of Herrera Province. This is a beautiful, modern, airy, rural vacation home with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. Everything worked and the kitchen was moderately well equipped. We came for two nights to see a rural community with no tourists (except us), and we certainly found it here in Chepo!
