One of the best properties we have stayed in. The house was modern and well equipped, with plenty of space for our group of 6. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed for our needs. The view from the house was gorgeous, overlooking vineyards. We were able to enjoy delicious oranges and lemons from trees in the yard - what a treat!. The village was charming and non-touristy. We didn't see any other tourists during our stay. The location is super convenient, just 10 minute's drive from Pinhao. One of the best things of a great stay was the host, Paula. She runs the village cafe and was delightful. We even arranged for her to prepare meal for our group, which was delicious. We only wish we could have stayed longer - 3 nites was not enough.

Beautiful location and fabulous views! Large property, nice size rooms, very nice washrooms, clean and good amenities. Beautiful pool area. Breakfast was delicious. Our hostess Sofia greeted us with a port wine tasting, she was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything was splendid: the facilities, the service, the cuisine, the views. The dinner was excellent: a good choice of wine, very delicious meals. Many thanks to Marco - one of the owners.     Idyllic location - about 15 minutes out of pinhao. Staff were lovely when there was a concern our car hire had been cancelled. Couldn't recommend in terms of value for money. Unbelievable serenity.

    Fantastic location - beautiful views of the Douro. Fantastic room and views. Pool was located with 360 views. Meal for 35 euros was exceptional. Wine was lovely. Service was personable and nothing was too much trouble. We hope to visit again.

    Soalheira Douro House is in a beautiful location and Paula is a very welcoming host. The beds were comfortable and there was lots of equipment in the kitchen. We loved the orange trees in the garden and the view from the suite principal!

    Wonderful location, very welcoming family. Food was good local fare, nothing exceptional but the staff were struggling due to shortages and the family were stepping in. Great pool looking over the vineyards and pool restaurant with fantastic vistas. Quiet location close to national park and Favios (known for muscatel). A good wine cellar with fantastic ports and wines. A good quinta in a lovely location.
