The view from our room was exceptional. Seeing the ocean every morning when we woke up was so beautiful. Breakfast was right next door in the restaurant. The food was amazing. Their homemade muffins were truly delicious. Eggs Benedict was my favorite. Our room was very roomy and even had a screened back door for access to the pool. The staff was truly accommodating and helpful with our special needs. Plan on being back next year!!

Location was 10/10 if you like a quaint area and a very short walk to the beach. We could see the ocean from the main bedroom. We traveled from Nashville, TN to initially see Boston (which we did), but we ended up booking here and it did not disappoint! We are already wanting to book another trip back and we would highly recommend this location if you like being outside of the city. Also- Surside Subs has the best pizza, subs and ice cream! It’s in walking distance also. The unit was on the first level which made trekking in and out easy. Parking was easy. Everything was great. Thanks so much for a wonderful first time trip to the New England area!

We truly enjoyed our stay! The space was beautifully decorated, spotless, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. The view, layout, and overall vibe were fantastic—it's clear the hosts put a lot of care into creating a welcoming environment. We wanted to get into the property an hour earlier at 2 pm, and the hosts were accommodating about setting up an additional payment so we could enter one hour before check-in.

This is a very comfortable, spacious, well decorated place. We greatly appreciated the thoughtful touches of snacks, toiletries, and cozy nooks. There are three good sized bedrooms with a very large master bedroom that includes a little sitting area. We loved the open kitchen with a big table for sitting around. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful. Communication was spot on. This is a good location with a big parking space. It helps to have a car but it is walkable to locations around Gloucester. Thank you for a perfect stay!

Been staying at the Sea Lion motel for years and this is the first time returning since pandemic. Everything is just as I remembered. Great location, friendly staff and very clean facilities.

    Great location and a very warm welcome from Sergio and his family. Great wifi and other facilities - they lent us their beach umbrella, chairs and wagon to get it all down there. Gloucester was a lovely, real town, not so touristy as Cape Cod. The beach near by was large, sandy and loads of room. Town is an uber ride away but at $8 not really an issue. The Cut was a great venue for live music and the Stones was a great pub with decent, reasonably priced food.

    It was very clean. The entire property was very well maintained. It felt very quaint and not commercial. There was a lot of attention to detail. The staff were friendly and always available to answer questions. Our porch had a view of the ocean which was a pleasant surprise.

    Travel back in time when you arrive at the Vista. I stayed there 15 years ago and it hasn't changed, the same worn carpets in the rooms, furniture you will find in thrift stores, and mattresses that must be pre-war production. The breakfast is also the same as 15 years ago, banana bread and blueberry muffins. But on the positive side and probably the only reason to chose this hotel is the location looking out in the ocean.
