Very clean and comfortable hotel with friendly staff in a great location. Rooms were bigger than expected (everybody complaining about NYC hotels room size). Many Neighborhoods with great bars / restaurants / cafes (Chinatown, Little Italy, Soho, East Village, West Village) within walking distance (max. 10-15 min). Several subway stations nearby (lines B,D,J,Z,6,Q,M,... 5-10 min walk), so that you can easily travel to many directions without having to change train (Midtown east & west, Financial district, Brooklyn, Upper Manhattan,..). Ideal base for exploring the cool neighborhoods of Lower Manhattan and avoiding staying in the middle of the main tourist attractions (Times sq. etc.). Midtown is however easily accessible (<10min subway ride). Would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends. Bonus: Great Rooftop, where you can bring your drinks and enjoy the skyline.

Room quickly gets cold and dark when you close the blinds and crank the ventilation - awesome. Shower was amazing! Staff were timely, professional and very helpful. The lobby itself is beautiful. The rooms are small but didn’t feel like I needed more space for my time there. View from the city view room was exactly how I pictured New York.

I don't know what to say really, thank you for accepting me in, thank you for taking care of me, thank you for going the extra mile to deliver my food orders and drop off my package!!! during my 14-day self-quarantine... I was required by HR to stop telecommuting from overseas and return to New York, but my lease had expired and that's why I booked a hotel. I was worried sick that no place would take me... but instead was met with a lot of politeness and kindness... The room has a fridge, a sink, cups, plates and a microwave, the hotel has hand sanitisers, cleaning wipes and disposable gloves in public places for guest use. The staff also very kindly carries your Uber Eats and instacart orders to your door, no-contact delivery. Right now the breakfast offer is limited due to COVID, hope I can visit again when all this is over.

I loved this place full of interesting corners and antiques it was quite and very clean near the metro and our room was overlooking the park which is a big bonus Having food readily available like the cakes cookies and different snack was definitely a good bonus even at night or middle of the day Peter was amazing host honestly quite nice and friendly and yeah thanx for the goodbye cookies i ate them all they were delicious

We were extremely happy that we chose Merrion Row for our recent visit to New York. It’s so close to main Midtown attractions but still off the beaten track and the rooms are nice and quiet. Our room was on the smaller side, as was to be expected, but very well thought out and equipped with all key amenities. Breakfast in the sunroom was nice and relaxed, and we also used the public house a couple of times and found the food to be very good and reasonably priced. However, best of all were the staff at Merrion House - very friendly and attentive, even when things got busy in the restaurant. We also loved that the owners hire staff from Ireland like Aoife and Emily. They were wonderful hosts and added to the hotel’s unique character.
