Cheap hotels in Phantom Acres

Absolutely one of the best guesthouse experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and taken care of. The place was beautiful, spotless, comfortable, and had such a warm and relaxing atmosphere. What really made our stay special, though, was the incredible hospitality. The manager was an absolute gem — genuinely kind, friendly, thoughtful, and always happy to help with anything we needed. She made us feel more like guests in her own home than customers at a guesthouse, and that personal touch made a huge difference. Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations, and we honestly didn’t want to leave. If we ever come back to the area, this will 100% be our first choice. I can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you for making our stay so memorable! ❤️

Our room was spacious, simply and stylishly furnished, with a spectacular view over Knysna. Roleen and Steve are attentive hosts who were keen to ensure we enjoyed our stay, recommending (and booking!) restaurants and suggesting activities. They are very knowledgeable about the area. Plenty of choice for breakfasts. Although the location is not central, it is an easy walk to the Waterfront area.

location perfect - hosts very responsive - best view

Professional staff, clean, great facilities, superb location.

It’s was very very clean and located at the perfect spot.we had the best sunset view and loved every moment of our stay

I liked our room, it was very comfortable, the breakfast was great, the service at all levels was very good. I swam laps in the pool before breakfast, this is for me the best of the best. We had room 13, room 12 and 17 are the primo rooms, they have a view and balcony, I suggest you try and get those rooms, rooms 1- 2 -3 have great views also.

Great place! Very comfortable, good nature, friendly people, and plenty of space and fresh air.

The host we the most friendly and welcoming people. The breakfast was absolutely delicious!

Wonderful place and nice stuff

Wonderful stay. The cottage has everything you may need. Many thanks Janine.

The Manor House is stunning and a lovely place to stay. Sue and Danelle were very warm and welcoming, the rooms are very spacious and classy and the view over Knysna is wonderful. Breakfast was delicious and the dinner was exceptional. A we'll managed venue and although it was very brief, we were always made to feel very welcome and we really enjoyed our short stay.

Cosy room with well equipped kitchen! Everywhere is spotless clean! A video provided by the owner gives very clear instructions on how to get to the apartment!

We were thrilled by the artful attention to every aspect of the accommodation (inclusive of welcoming letter; flowers in the living area and bathroom; farm milk in the fridge; complimentary sherry; lindt chocolates on the bedsides) but far beyond all the personalised touches, was the location of our bungalow perched above a virgin afro-montayne forest with a zig-zag path descending to a mountain stream and a superbly crafted timber swing bridge. Our stay was pure romance.

It is a relaxing vacation. The garden is amazing scent smells with sage.

Location is stunning Staff are very friendly Food at restaurant was tasty and breakfast was great Lovely 2 Night stay after participating in Knysna marathon The packed breakfast for early start was super Will definitely revisit here

My daughter loved feeding all the animals alone the farm staff were so friendly. Cute cozy cottage. Will definitely be back

Location was great for us as we wanted to be close to the restaurants and shops. We absolutely loved the fact of the monkeys that came to visit during our morning coffee. Peter was a super host and checked in quickly when we needed something. Awesome place to stay, fantastic service and surroundings, we’ll be back.

Beautiful and quiet location overlooking the lagoon. Clean and comfortable rooms, and friendly and attentive hosts. Excellent breakfast, too!

What a wonderful cottage to find up the mountain overlooking Knysna. The cottage was perfect for two. The attention of the staff and family was exceptional. Fresh eggs from the resident chickens were an absolute bonus!

The place is in great shape! John and Shannon really went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable with their wonderful hospitality and helpful recommendations for the local attractions. We absolutely loved the market. Their house is incredibly clean, and the furniture is thoughtfully chosen to match their taste. I’d definitely return to this place—it’s incredibly quiet, and I definitely needed a well-deserved break.
