Offering garden views, Satta Lodge in Puerto Viejo has accommodations, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace and a bar. We stayed in a “ Jungle Suite” which is a little away from the main building, pool and other cabins. It was beautifully designed in a superb setting surrounded by jungle. It was so peaceful. The “ lounge area” - an open sided area at the centre of the cabins next to the pool was a good place to relax in the late afternoons when drinks and snacks are available. The breakfasts were very good even though the choice was not as extensive as some places. The staff were very friendly and helpful ( especially Donovan). Bryan the manager was exceptionally helpful and informative and keeps the place ticking along beautifully. The position just over 1 km back from the beach ensures a quiet environment. Although a car makes it easier, the local taxis and Uber are very cheap and readily available.

Located in Puerto Viejo and with Negra Beach reachable within a 5-minute walk, Casitas Las Flores provides a tour desk, allergy-free rooms, a garden, free WiFi throughout the property and a terrace. Before we arrived the hosts were very helpful and communicative. The accommodation was clean, quiet and well-kept. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. It felt private and secure, with an abundance of wildlife. There was an opportunity to rent bikes and have a breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed the surroundings and would highly recommend this. These Puerto Viejo El Nido Jungle Lodge bungalows are 656 feet from the Playa Chiquita and include access to an outdoor pool and free WiFi. Gandoca Manzanillo National Wildlife Refuge is 3.3 mi away. Gorgeous location. Close to beautiful beaches. Good restaurant attached and other good restaurants within easy walking distance. Nice pool area.

El Rincon de la Suiza is a recently renovated vacation home in Cahuita where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities. The area is very quiet and just a short walk from the beach. The host was very kind and welcomed us at the entrance. The property is clean, well-organized, and comfortable

Mar Verde Lodge is located in Puerto Viejo, just a 6-minute walk from Chiquita Beach and 1.3 miles from Jaguar Rescue Center. Nice place close to the best beach in the area. Leon was a super host and made a great breakfast.

Featuring a swimming pool, a garden, a terrace and views of the mountain, La Shamana - Ecological Concept in Jungle is located in Cahuita and has accommodations with free WiFi. We had a fantastic time here. The place is peaceful and so beautiful! We were in the chalet “experiencia” where it feels like you’re sleeping in the forest but you’re protected inside (lot of monkeys in the forest 😍)! Best breakfast we had in a long time! Everything is homemade, organic, healthy and also it varies each morning. Betty and Jessica are the best, it was a 5star service, they are extremely helpful and nice. They offer multiple services: laundry, massages, guide, a cook that comes over prepare your dinner, etc. We asked to have dinner there, a very kind lady came over and cooked a fantastic dinner. It is very well located not even 5min from Cahuita. Thank you Betty and Jessica, for sure we will come back.

We had an amazing stay at the Jungle Beach Bungalow with my brother. As said in many comments, the pictures do not do the place justice. The host, Andrew, is a chef so the house has a lot of kitchen ustensiles to cook elaborate meals, the two rooms are spacious and very confortable, the bathroom has hot water, and is super modern. It's really a stupendous little house where you will have a wonderful time if you go there. Also, Andrew is very helpful and caring and super reactive. He makes his possible to make your stay the best possible !
