Staying at Turon Gates to visit the nearby Capertee Valley for birdwatching. Loved the place. Beautiful setting on a peaceful river and Gang-Gang Cuckatoos right outside the cabin ! We also saw hundreds of Kangaroos nearby from the road leading to our cabin ! The cabin was spacious and very confortable. Excellent place for the money.

Very clean room and bathroom, with a comfortable bed and friendly staff who made me feel very welcome. A great deck upstairs on the side with sunset, ducks and bushland views. Oh and black cockatoos flying by at eye level. Yes, and award winning crafty craft whisky made in the shed outside to warm up your cockles because it's really cold and the fires are sadly not on.

Amenities, accommodation was clean and prestine. No problems what so ever. We loved how close to nature it was and the animals were all so friendly. Very well looked after and the managers and other staff were very helpful and welcoming. Whatever needs or enquiries you had they had accommodated us well or did their very best to try to. Location was so peaceful listening to wild life and the river flowing . We stayed 2 nights and fortunate enough to see snow, fireplace was raging all night with plenty of firewood provided . Bedroom and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful in giving us tips and directions. We would definitely recommend Turon gates.
