Great location and nice mountain view. Wonderful staff, family-run hotel, we were greeted by the lovely and friendly grandmother who gave us good tips about the area and directions to a hike around the property and a hiking trail to waterfalls nearby.

Trogon Lodge is located 0.9 mi from San Gerardo de Dota town center and 5.6 mi from Los Quetzales National Park. It features an extensive garden, a terrace and BBQ facilities.

We booked with Entre Árboles Lodge last minute after experiencing the crowds of Quepos and Manuel Antonio National Park. San Gerardo de Dota was another, much more perfect world. The area has fantastic walks and forests, and Entre Árboles Lodge was wonderful: it is private and relaxed. Booking Entre Árboles Lodge was the best decision of our 3-week trip to Costa Rica.

Very comfortable cabins, with coffee , toiletry and towels . We had a short one night stay here , we arrived late due to an accident, but the staff were on hand for our late check-in. Lovely breakfast, with loads of birds feeding in the garden ..

Very well managed, great breakfast and so helpful with organizing guides. Wonderful to fall asleep to the sound of the river, not more than 50 ft away.

We had such a wonderful stay at Curuba Lodge. It is an absolute gem and a labour of love from the owners. The cabins are very quiet and private and set out in a ravishing garden full of colibris and other birds which is perfect to disconnect. They are nicely decorated, spotless and very comfortable with lots of blankets and a heater to keep you warm. The hosts are super nice,  amazingly attentive and always going the extra mile to assist with your every needs. They gave us great recommendations on local activities (I highly recommend the Quetzales and coffee tours ) and about Costa Rica too. And the food is absolutely delicious, made with products sourced locally. It was our favourite meals in Costa Rica! Thanks again for making our stay truly special!
