Saw all the big 5 and more, eating on the deck over the wetlands i watched cheetahs, lions, elephants, crocodiles etc go about there day. Patrick was my ranger on tours and was very informative and easy to talk too. Accomodation was very clean and tidy, all the staff were so lovely and accommodating. The midday massage between tours was perfect. A must do park when traveling. Enjoy!

Do not hesitate – book this property right away! It was by far the most exceptional travel we have ever done (and we travel quite a bit). The lodge is absolutely gorgeous and I’d like to highlight that the pictures DO NOT do justice to the actual look of the place. The safari rides are exceptional and Madikwe is truly a beautiful reserve. From game drives, to brunch, high tea, dinner, massage, library with tons of books, chessboards available for random games, swimming pools, lounges around the lodge… you will never be bored and will be left with tons of memories. Finally to conclude - we would like to particularly highlight the STAFF, possibly the best experience we ever had. Our ranger Ryan has shown exceptional professionalism & impeccable service in everything he was doing. We were touched by his passion for his job and animals, and truly felt like we were going on drives with a living encyclopedia, amazing! We always felt safe during the rides and overall very well taken care of – from the first moment we got to know him, to the “good-mood wake up calls at 4:30am”, until the very last transfer to our airplane back to Johannesburg where he “winged at us” while we were taking off. Linda has been wonderful in welcoming us to the property, teaching us about baboons and elephants around the lodge and joking around with us. Spa, the executive chef, delivered the most amazing dishes, showed us the wine cave and was really looking after every experience with great attention and amiability. The overall staff taking care of the kitchen and rooms were wonderful with a true 5 stars attention to detail and care, with a welcome drink at any point in time. You know what we mean when one week after the trip, we are STILL talking about the Impodimo lodge and its wonderful team. Thank you!

Everything . Location is perfect- on the ridge with a fantastic view. The staff are wonderful. The rooms are lovely and comfortable and clean. The food is excellent.

It was an amazing stay at Madikwe. The game drives in the morning and evening were amazing, we had a very skilled ranger who knew a lot and saw a lot of animals. The rooms were spacious and clean and at the waterhole there were always animals to watch. The staff was so friendly and helpful, food was also delicious. I can warmy recommend going there, I will surely return one day.

Amazing experience. Very intimate small lodge with an authentic feel. Food was superb. Staff and service were wonderful. Twice daily game drives were incredible. What a place! I could honestly go on forever about how amazing Madikwe Hills Private Game Lodge is! We were return travelers and had another truly incredible stay. From stunningly beautiful rooms, wonderful and very friendly staff, absolutely amazing wildlife and delicious food- nothing is short of perfect. We just wish we stayed longer! Our stay was amazing, we had an incredible time! The staff could not do enough for you, great service and very polite. The food was beautiful, every single meal was 5*, the game drives twice per day were amazing, we saw everything we wanted to plus more, our game driver jerry was great and the reserve itself was fab. The room was lovely and cleaned /tidied twice daily and the staff even decorated the room for our anniversary which was so special!
