The chalet has an outdoor fireplace and a barbecue. We had amazing hosts, they were there to answer any question that we had and help out. House is great, we were group of friends visiting Grobnik and we enjoyed our time in the House Podhum. House is very clean and has everything you need, host thought about every small detail. Hosts even turned on additional heating for us in advance, to make sure that once we arrived the house is warm and cozy. We felt like we were visiting family or friends. We will come to the House Podhum again for sure!

The pictures don’t do this property justice. It’s much better than it seems and it was cleaned properly prior to our arrival. It has the perfect location - just a few steps to the sea, but at the same time very private. Since the property is fenced all around, our dog had a blast as well. Boris is one of the kindest host we have met on our travels. He welcomed us with a fridge, stocked with cold drinks, fresh fruit and snacks, and also brought us something from the bakery every morning! And he does that without being intrusive at all. I wish we could stay longer, but we are definitely returning next year to this underrated gem.

We were very early with respect to our announced arrival time but the host made everything easy for us to access the house, find a (great) place to eat and later he came to greet us. The little house and its garden are perfectly equipped and very comfortable and the location is extremely pleasant, quiet but alive. It was just sad we stayed for a very short time, the house and the Rijeka region certainly deserve more!

There is also a seating area and a fireplace. We liked that it was in the middle of a forest. It was really peaceful. We travelled with two dogs and we could sleep well because although the dogs bark if they hear strange noises at foreign places, here everything was quiet. The house was big, so comfortable. It was in the forest so the temperature was always at least 6-8 degrees lower then at the beach.

The host are super kind and welcoming (they made us a cake and gave us honey and homemade liquor), the hut is lovely in the middle of the woods but with a huge garden that is so beautiful and well kept, wit a lot of facilities BBQ house, Swimming pool, Petanque and a lot of toys for the children. There is really everything for a wonderful stay in nature, and though it seems in the middle of nowhere there are hiking trails, biking trails, wild horses and even two restaurants within short distance and for those who want to go to the seaside it is only 30 min driving away.
