It's also a very beautiful drive and nicer part of the island to get to. The yoga pavilion offers panoramic views of the lake and volcano; the pool is refreshing and relaxing with stunning views; the staff are delightful and helpful; the bungalows are so airy and comfortable. A lot of people mention the bugs, but honestly that’s just part of being in a tropical location (and this is an eco resort after all). The beds have mosquito nets so we slept perfectly well at night!

A car rental service is available at Eco-Lodge El Porvenir.. The gardens are so beautiful. So peaceful and quiet on the mountain. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Even brought me dinner to my room.
