We were greeted with a warm friendly welcome, we were blown away with how lovely the courtyard and surroundings were. Only a short drive from Porto and the airport. We were only there for one night as we had an event close by but we we definitely be back!!

The flat is located close to a bakery, small grocery, a couple cafes, and is walking distance from many good restaurants. The beach is only about a 20 minute walk. Metro station is roughly a 5 minute walk. The owner/manager was easy to contact, and very friendly.

The house had everything you would ever need. The kitchen was fully stocked with every kitchen utensils and every modcon for a stress free stay. The nespreso coffee machine was heavenly. The beds was super comfortable and very warm. We were super close to shopping centre, hyper market, beach and metro! The house had its own lemon & lime trees which we made cocktails! The pool was refreshing and there was a lot of space to be super private. We loved the private space. The host left a guide book with superb recommendations especially the thermal springs! The wonderful hosts were so welcoming and helpful I would highly recommend this place as it is an exceptional find!

The family who own the accommodation are very welcoming and hospitable. The studio was more spacious than we expected, with a great bathroom at one end, a central kitchen and dining area and a bed/sitting area (really comfy bed, 2 seater sofa and chair) at the other end. Everything has been done to the highest standard (it was the family's home while they renovated their house). My wife tells me the kitchen has everything one could need (I would never know about such things). The apartment is adjacent to the rear of the owner's house but they are more than happy for guests to share the outside space. The location was ideal for us because we could park on the street (driving/parking in the centre of Porto is not for me). Stroll down the street for 10 minutes and be on the beach. Go the other way and arrive at the metro station which will take you into Porto in about 30 minutes (express service). We bought a single trip ticket, went Trindade station and changed lines to go to Sao Bento. Here is the tourist office which sells "Porto Passes" which iclude travel on metro and buses (but not the old trams) and discounts at tourist attractions and shops restaurants. We went a few stops out of town for lunch to get away from the tourists (nuisance these people - oh hang on I am one of them). Don't miss the tram museum - we went and it looks as if they could do with a few more visitors. When you get fed up with Porto, hop off the Metro at the Villa do Conde retail park or stay on a bit longer and go to Villa do Conde. Matosinhos has a vast beach, wide promenade, the largest park in Porto, great market (fish, fruit & veg, poultry, meat flowers etc.) and seafood restaurants. The metro there gets packed on good beach days, as does the 500 bus. Good cafes and restaurants near the property, too.

Our host was lovely and so helpful. She had biscuits, honey and water for our arrival and let us use her washing machine which was a blessing after a long hot day walking the Camino. The kitchen has everything you need. The garden is lovely.

The land, river, and neighborhood were absolutely stunning. The hot tubs were absolutely wonderful. The host was delightful, very responsive, and helpful.

We were there only for two nights, but it was amazing experience. The owner of these house is very friendly ane helpful. We recommend this place for 100% because it’s really different experience than stay in central apartments. :)
