From
United StatesMy wife and I recently spent a wonderful week at Cap Juluca. We have been to many places in the Caribbean, and I can honestly say that this was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable places we have ever stayed.
The beachfront accommodations are beautiful, up-to-date, with our rooms well-maintained by Ramona and her associates, and with additional special touches as expected at a luxury resort of this caliber.
The beach itself is outstanding, with powdery white sand, sparkling clear water without seaweed or any trash, and with reserved loungers and umbrellas for guests so there is no rush to stake out a spot on the beach. The staff taking care of us on the beach were particularly friendly and fun, with cool drinks, sorbet, and cool towels routinely offered. Also noted and appreciated was the fact that the hotel does not allow visiting boats to anchor along the beach all along the shore by the accommodations, and enforces a strict policy that they cannot play music or make any loud noise when stopping in the harbor area, something that many resorts never consider or enforce.
The restaurants are all top notch as well. Standouts for us were dinner at Cip’s with Raechel (?), and the multi room wide selection of fresh foods at the morning buffet. Never a bad meal all week with PImms, Uchu, and the Cap Shack all distinctly great, with relaxing ambiance and great service.
The spa was also excellent. Treatments were exactly what we requested and provided by obviously professional well trained therapists. Facilities were beautiful and well maintained. We also used the fitness center which has up to date top of the line equipment well maintained.
We also enjoyed having bikes available all around the property for everyone, making it fun and easy to get around.
We would like to specifically mention our personal concierge Deandre. He was always available and helpful, with prompt responses and flexibility regarding any of our requests.
