For energetic guests, Gibraltar Hotel offers an 18-hole golf course, a fitness center and an indoor heated pool and for those wanting to relax, there is a casual bar and a restaurant called Harvey's... The room was spacious and clean. Great view from my room overlooking the golf course and lake. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Will definitely go back there. Staff friendly and helpful. Loved the Harvey Bar very cosy and great cocktails and food and entertainment.
Briers Country Lodge is located in Bowral, 6 minutes' drive from The International Cricket Hall of Fame and Bradman Oval. All rooms have a flat-screen TV with over 100 free cable channels. Great location, easy detour off the Hume and very friendly staff. Easy to access room, great meals in the pub next door. Highly recommend
Links House offers country-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and complimentary breakfast in the dining room. Guests can also enjoy a restaurant and a lounge bar with an open fireplace. Amazing staff and service! From the moment we arrived we were greeted with friendly, genuine staff who went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The property itself had a quaint and homely feel to it with a beautiful sitting room with an open fireplace and lovely, well kept courtyards and grounds The Ethos Restaurant made a beautiful continental and hot breakfast in the morning, and even better at dinner providing a fine dining experience. The location is very convenient, only 2 mins drive from Bowral town and across the road from the Links golf course.
Offering a garden, The Sebel Bowral Heritage Park is set in Bowral. The International Cricket Hall of Fame is 2953 feet from the property. Free private parking is available on site. Excellent accommodation for a young family, clean, well designed apartments. We travelled with our newborn and toddler, very happy with the room.
Bowral is a lovely little town set in the Southern Highlands of outer Sydney (approximately 1.5 hours from Sydney). Our stay this time was only 1 night, and we enjoyed a great lunch and full breakfast whilst there. We have been there before for day trips with friends and each time it has been very pleasant with visiting lots of quaint shops, restaurants/cafes, antique stores and historical and cultural places. The little town has a lovely ambiance about it so it is worth the drive for a day out or spend a weekend away. There are some very nice luxury hotels just outside the town, so if you are looking for a luxury weekend away for that special event, it is worth worth going. Close by is the little village of Berrima a very historical place, and it is absolutely worth visiting the little museum there, plus the quaint shops which have lots of handmade items for sale.
Beautiful town close to sydney lovely for a weekend getaway. Great cafes, wineries & restaurants. Lovely drives with beautiful scenery Would highly recommend Bendooley Book Barn Cafe/winery in Berrima & Onesta Cucina Italian in Bowral
Usually a bit cooler in the Highlands but we had a couple of warm sunny days which made enjoying the local scenery and town much better. We ate most meals at the guest house but a very enjoyable meal at our favourite French restaurant, the Bowral Brasserie. Only issue is that there seems to be a shortage of cabs at the moment and wait times can be 30 minutes which is a problem on a cool night !!!
History great but I feel it has become congested and over priced. I feel the North Shore has come down to retire as there are too many retirement places with the pompas attitude to go with it they have lost the country feel and atmosphere. Bradman museum still gets a wonderful crowd and is what Bowral is all about. Best little Cafe is The Hungry Monkey wonderful food and staff well priced in a mall. Getting around Bowral is over congested and no parking. I would avoid the main street for parking.
It was just great to visit Bowral. Our accommodation was 3 kms out of town, so a car was essential. The shops and other activities were great with a lot of variety and some gorgeous gourmet shops. We also enjoyed visiting the wineries, and local villages. We received quite a few stares and sometimes received a lukewarm welcome as we were diligent in wearing masks and checking in. We also had some negative comments from a couple of locals in the street, which was not very welcoming. We managed to get back to Sydney before lockdown very refreshed.
Typical Australian country town. We went mid week so it was a bit quiet. Plenty of shopping and cafes the best pies in the whole Southern Highlands, gumnut pattiserie and a great French restaurant, Bowral brasserie. Lovely for short stays, best in spring and autumn.
spa was out of order. Hydrotherapy suite closed at 3pm so was unable to use the facilities that were promised. Wedding (???) at the pool meant we couldn't use the pool either. Repeated emails to the spa went unanswered so we were unable to book treatments. I called the spa--they never called me back. I left my charger at the hotel and called. They said they would mail it. Never received it back. Very disappointing stay. Not at all worth the money.
LOVED Bowral in general. Once shown how to use pin key check by very pleasant and helpful staff... all was good. Quick walk to great variety of shops and fabulous coffee places. Bowral Boutique Hotel recommended Berrida Hotel for dinner and this was also in walking distance and a charming restaurant with superb food. A top spot all round.
A good range of breakfast cereals, croissants, bread, fruit, milk, bottled water, spreads as well as coffee and tea were provided. NetFlix is available. There is ample parking and the property is only a 15 minute walk to the centre of Bowral. The hosts, Cos and Robyn, are very friendly and helpful.
The house was clean, spacious, comfortable and homey. We booked for a family wedding for 10 adults and all of us had plenty of room. Facilities were great and beds were comfortable. Located on the quite side of town, the shops are less than a 10 min drive and has some great cafes and pubs.
The meals at the Imperial Hotel were good, but no breakfast at the Imperial Motel, there is a café across the road that served a fantastic breakfast it is called The Mill in Bowral.
The hotel is in beautiful surroundings and a short drive to wineries and Bowral. The room was comfortable with nice toiletries, towels and bed linen. Staff are very helpful
Check in was easy and very quick for our one night stay in Bowral. The Hotel was nice and close to the local restaurants. The room was clean and we had a comfortable stay.
It looked relatively newly renovated; bathroom was lovely. It was tidy & close to the Main Street. The staff in the hotel were nice.
Excellent service the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was great. The hotel has a homey atmosphere that is lovely.
Very clean, conveniently close to golf course and Bowral. Good friendly service. Exceptional value for money.
Modern hotel, rooms and lobby relaxing and clean. Great decor and shower. Great bar and live music.
Very nice cosy hotel in the outskirts of Bowral. Very nice facilites including a whisky bar.
A unique and perfectly peaceful Cottage, located in mature gardens. Totally private, authentically restored and tastefully furnished. Born and educated in Bowral myself, I wanted to return as a “Visitor” to my place of Birth. How very special my experience was! Thank you Margaret. 👌
Great Cottage with loads of charm and wonderful gardens in a great location . You will want for nothing in the cottage . Everything has been thought of down to the last detail. A very Short drive into town. Wonderful host.
Great location, easy detour off the Hume and very friendly staff. Easy to access room, great meals in the pub next door. Highly recommend
We arrived at dusk and it was very cosy and inviting when we opened the door after a long journey..
