Turon Gates - Eco-Retreat

Capertee

Spread out over 6000 acres and offering pet-friendly accommodations, Turon Gates - Eco-Retreat is a tranquil bush property located in the Blue Mountains. It is a 2.5 hour drive from Sydney. Amazing location and amazing glamping tent. The luxury of the tent was impressive, all the furniture matches, and looks custom made. Looks very 'safari'ey'. Having no reception is amazing for someone who is always on the phone for work. There is wi-fi if needed, its a bit slow, but that's even better - not tempted to sit on your phone. It was very cold and had to use the fireplace non-stop, it was fun. However, you are woken up in the middle of the night/morning by the cold and have to get up and restock the fireplace. That being said, it was 1 or -1 degrees outside, so although inside was cold, it was still warmer than outside. I'd suggest bringing some board games or puzzle books. There are horse rides available and bushwalking, but that's for the day time. There is a fridge and gas stove, as well as a toaster, and a BBQ outside. There is a huge bath aswell, and hot water, which never ran out. You can open up the walls between the bathroom and the bedroom so you can have a bath and watch the fireplace. The road into the glamping section is unsealed, you just have to be careful of the potholes and mud, we did it in a sports coupe so it's fine without a 4wd. The glamping tents are down in the valley, next time we go we will get a mountain cabin, we drove past them on the way to the glamping tents and their views were amazing. There are a few resident Geese around, they are funny to watch and we fed them some bread. There is also a friendly dog who accompanies you on your walk if he is nearby, named Trigger, who is a very good boy! The staff are very nice and friendly, the manager came to visit us as he noticed our fireplace wasn't smoking and was worried we'd be cold, he gave us a few tips on how to best stock the fireplace. We will definitely be coming back and recommending it to all our friends. We'd live there if we could! Would be great for a few couples to book a tent each and have a weekend with friends.

Belle Bois is an ultra luxurious guest house in the Capertree Valley. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious and have everything you need. We really appreciated the underfloor heating that kept us warm. The views from the room are also lovely, with kangaroos grazing outside most of the day. Geoff and Wendy are fabulous hosts. Bower's Hideout

Bower's Hideout is located in Kandos. This holiday home has a garden, barbecue facilities, free WiFi and free private parking. The Bower bird theme was carried through the whole place. It felt like a cozy retreat with a small kitchen area and plenty of books to read. Shawn was very welcoming and gave us a quick run down regarding wifi, netflix and chromecasting from phone to tv. Even in the middle of winter, the bed and blankets kept us warm without the need of a heater through the night.
