Eden is a lovely town with plenty to do.From here you can visit other towns along the coast .Eden has an amazing Fish and Chips shop where the seafood is caught by the owner and is fresh daily..the fishermans basket is so big a 1 person serve was too much for both myself and Hubby..worth a visit.
Eden is a quiet destination with a beautiful beach, lake and in close proximity to three national parks. Cat Balou cruise excellent, friendly and informative. I found the Killer Whale Museum extraordinary, not what I expected. The documentary on Eden was very educational and gave me an insight into the liaison between the Killer Whsles and humans, both Aboriginal and European, fascinating.
Eden is a beachside town that hasn't yet caught up with the development rush of places like Merriumbula, Tathra or Bermigui. While this lends itself to quaint charm, it also means that it also has a neglected ambience; the type of place where tourists are seen more as a "nuisance" and "hindrance" rather than adding to the local economy. Therefore, Eden should be seen a "starting point" for exploring other coastal towns.
I'm a Davidson, so the museum was unreal and the Davidson homestead at the Davidson Whale Station is kept beautiful by the Parks and Wildlife. Makes me very Proud. Eden itself is a nice town and very friendly the local pub has nice meals and the information centre is great.
Management rude and unwelcoming. We where there for a fishing trip between the hours of 11pm and 4am we needed to leave and arrive at the park, yet managment met us at 10pm telling us to turn our car (standard SS Commodore) off and to not start it before 9am. We didnt even get a hello or welcome from them. Twice, once when arriving and again in the morning we were approached by management. The accommodation cabin was dusty and made me itch from dust mites, i cleaned myself (being a accommodation manager as a profession) The shower was noisy and woke our neighbours in two neighbouring cabins and the doona covers on the bunks where not washed and smelly and felt slimy and damp (unclean) The rangehood was full of oil, coffee mugs stained, cupboard doors greasy, TV so dusty (i cleaned myself). I wouldnt book here again.
Two years in a row have spent a few days in Eden (in January) and would love to keep coming. Small, quiet, stunning beach-side town that isn't overly touristy and offers some of the most stunning Country and beaches.
We were greeted by Lyn and she was wonderful. We were able to check in a little bit earlier which was so great as we were coming from Sydney and were travelling with a 7 weeks old. The cabins were clean and so were the facilities around the park. My kids had a very fun time in the jumping pillow, playground and the pool. The location was great, a short drive to shops and beach which was also walking distance (10mins approx). Overall, our stay was wonderful.
First time staying at a holiday park and I absolutely loved it. The cabins are very comfortable, super clean and the facilities all around very clean and close to the main beach. Robyn and John were absolutely delightful to deal with, the accommodated all of our needs even beforehand as we stayed with our four legged baby. Check in was smooth and all information clear prior to our arrival.
