We had a great stay at the Cumquat House. The house and property are beautiful and Peter and Marie were so lovely, accommodating and friendly. The location was perfect for us as our family was camping across the road.

We loved everything about our stay. We had a family room. It was clean, tidy and comfortable. Staff were amazing and so friendly! I thought it was going to be loud as our room was near the main road and being a Saturday night. But it wasn't at all. The pool was fantastic! We will definitely be staying again next time we come to town.

Always lots of exciting events and adventure locations in the surrounding areas. Rusty Nail, bake house steakhouse , rafters n rose cafe imbimbis distillery , the cottage all very good dining and entertainment locations.

Excellent and friendly staff.

Excellent and friendly staff. From the moment we arrived we were treated better than I have been at other more expensive hotels. I have to admit I was apprehensive when my w8fe advised she had booked here. This was turned around the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out. Very happy and highly recommend. Thanks Team.

Ipswich is a beautiful town full of heritage homes and buildings, and with a very good selection of cafes, restaurants and shops. Check out Rafter & Rose (breakfast is great!), antiques, and walks along the Bremer River.

Pleasant walkable city with oodles of European settler history. Beautiful heritage buildings presented with obvious pride and a vibrant information brochure full of ideas on how to enjoy the city! We loved our Indian meal in an old Bank building. The Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is a really amazing asesé for the Somerset region, with the trail starting or finishing in Wulkaraka a suburb of Ipswich; Ipswich should be proud of being able to showcase the area’s natural beauty with the BRVT!

Ipswich is steeped in History, being the original choice for the Capital of the new State of Queensland in 1859. The depth of the Bremer River was seen as an impediment for shipping, so Brisbane became the Capital. Queens Park is an Oasis in the centre of the City and includes an animal enclosure with a walk through, fu;; flight Aviary. The City has a proud Rail and Coal Mining past. The Ipswich Rail Museum should be on any visitors itinerary.

I used to live in Ipswich many years ago and I am always happy to return with my family and friends as time allows. Although it’s a city, it doesn’t have all the hustle of the bigger cities. The town Parks and Gardens are a credit to all who maintain them. DRH

Honestly everything was really inviting, the beds were really comfortable and the aesthetic was pleasing to the eye. It was definitely an amazing experience in an old Queenslander home. Quiet street, but still close enough to Ipswich CBD. Definitely recommend. Great space for kids too, even outside on the grass. Hosts were accommodating and lovely. Would visit and stay again.

This was my third stay, as Cumquat House provides good quality accommodation and a decent breakfast for a reasonable price, particularly compared to most other accommodation providers around Ipswich. Rooms are spacious, well equipped and comfortable. Free on-site parking. Quiet location. Breakfast included.
