The hosts, Marc and Katty, were very easy to communicate with for our travels. Very warm welcome and greetings when we arrived. Gave us a tour of the house and showed us where everything was located. Asked if we had questions about anything and if everything was ok for us. Showed us their amazing garden and where we could lounge outside in the very private and cozy outdoor space. Just absolutely amazing people and amazing place to stay. There is a fridge full of drinks. Both soft drinks and good Belgium beer. Even a bottle of wine. Marc explained the different beers to us. Had a very nice sleep in a very clean and comfortable bed. Just very well kept. Beautiful!!! Marc did all the building himself and was very passionate about his work. Very impressive Craftsmanship. I can't tell you one bad thing about this place. Will be back again to visit. The delicious breakfast. Fresh!!! Homemade bread, homemade yogurt, homemade granola, fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee. Fruits, cheese , meat's. Farm fresh eggs from their chicken. Absolutely beautiful, clean and quiet holiday home. Kitchen had everything we needed, and everything was just perfect! The breakfast was very good and looked amazing! Owners of the B&B were really friendly and helpful. Place was very peaceful.

It smells so good, when you enter hotel. Spacious and very elegant room. Quite for relax after city tour. Very comfortable bed. We enjoyed inner hotel garden with cozy atmosphere, where we had wine. Definately i would suggest this place.

Comic Art Hotel is located at 2 Augustijnenkaai, Sluizeken-Tolhuis-Ham, Ghent 9000, Belgium. It is only about a 10-mins walk to Gravensteen along Lievestraat and Geldmunt. The other attractions of Ghent are just beyond Gravensteen. It is a comic art hotel decorated with artwork from comics. The room and bathroom are large and movement is easy. We have a view of a small garden outside our window. The bed is comfortable and towels are changed every few days. There is a kettle for tea and coffee maker so tea bags and coffee capsules are given. There is a heated drying rack in the bathroom which can dry towels or laundry. The toiletries are well provided.

Everything was perfect. Not only the best and most beautiful hotel in Ghent but also in Belgium and the most iconic building of the whole city. Staff was very kind and friendly. Very nice breakfast. Perfect rooms, clean, cozy, charming with awesome view. The hotel bar is the best of the city offering high quality cocktails. We visited during the winter period, the location of the hotel was just perfect to visit the Christmas markets, ferris wheel was right in front. It was an experience worth remembering for life and surely we will be back

Evergem was a great spot outside of the city.

Evergem was a great spot outside of the city. It avoids parking/ charges for cars which are in place. We walked to a local restaurant, La Bussola, and would recommend. The food was superb; really great mommas Italian style cooking and very reasonable value too. Our children really enjoyed. Brielken tram stop is free to park and just a 20 minute ride to the Castle in the centre (€3 per ride or bulk buy tram rides/City Card includes tram for free) From Sept 2025 this route from Brielken into the city will be closed for renovation but buses can be caught/drive to another tram line.

The Owner dis à great job at offering a very nice hotel in the area as the other options are very poor. Their take on renovating this train station is great. Decoration is on point. It’s comfortable and has everything you need during your stay. The self-check-in works great. Staff was very flexible when we showed up for breakfast but had forgotten to reserve before hand. They went out of their way to make sure we could eat everything on the menu like other guests. It’s also super clean which is also a plus point.

I had an amazing experience staying at Gare 55 Hotel and highly recommend it to anyone. The hospitality was excellent, they highly care about your comfortable stay. The rooms are clean, modern design and easily self-access. Located in a calm area, it offers a peaceful retreat while still being conveniently located. The breakfast is excellent and everything is fresh. Overall, Gare 55 provided an outstanding experience, and I would definitely stay here again.
