BulgariaWe were extremely tired when we arrived in the village. The Hytte shelter is really close to the end point of the trail--this was a huge relief. The common space is... spacious. Nice design and all you need in the kitchen for an overnight stay, including coffee and tea. Beds are really comfortable. Plenty of sockets in the shelter.

United KingdomThe cabins are really special, there are lovely walks that you can take directly from the cabins. We particularly enjoyed the 45 mins along the river to the Chouffe brewery. And we took one of the longer walks the next day. It was a shame that during our stay we were unable to use the hot tub and BBQ because of the police restrictions, but the staff were very accommodating and made it up to us with great service.

Great place for hiking.
Great place for hiking.
Be mindful of restaurants opening hours. We found that quite a few of them only accept guests for diner until 6pm only.
This might not be true for all of them, of course, but definitely check out their policy so that you are not turned down (we weren't, don't worry, this is not us venting, this is us helping future visitors).

The hotel is located on top of the Nadrin plateau, with great views all around (even on the snowy/grey day we arrived). It's a tranquil place to relax and feel far away from the city. The breakfast was fantastic, with house-made touches, and the kindness of the owner was legendary (not a term I would throw around lightly). If you are looking for an idyllic rural getaway, this is the perfect place.

We had booked a ground floor apartment at Panorama Nadrin for 3 nights from 12th-15th August 2026. It’s an ideal location for a quiet and leisurely break. The location was easy to access from the highway, adequate free parking and the owner was helpful and welcoming. The rooms are adequately furnished with basic toilet supplies and kitchen appliances.

Beautiful location. A beautiful area with a good walk to the most amazing river. The Friterie in Nadrin is excellent as well.
