Cavendish Heights Suites in Pembroke has a garden and a terrace. There is a barbecue and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. The owners were extremely nice and helpful! They did some food/drink shopping for us as we had to quarantine the day of our arrival. We also got some great recommendations for restaurants all over the island. Amazingly, we got an upgrade to just an outstanding full 1Br suite! Everything seemed new, modern and sterile clean.
Wahoo’s was a great restaurant. Highlight was the Historical Society Museum and the church. Hearing the stories about the history of Bermuda was fantastic. St. George is a day trip or a one night stay.
There is so much history in St George which makes it very interesting. I just loved walking around the town. Bus service is great to get you anywhere on the island as well. The Wharf is a great restaurant . We also ate at Wahoo, and Whitehorse,The Boardwalk Cafe is a nice little place for lunch and we also did takeout back to our room for dinner. I can't say enough about the friendliness and helpfulness of the people.
St George was fascinating. We took a very interesting & informative walking tour. There was a nice mix of restaurants. The Bermuda bus system & taxis are excellent so it’s very easy to travel to all parts of the island.
There is a lot of history in St. George. This was the first settlement in Bermuda. There is a fort here, a beach from which to watch the sunset (but you have to cross a lot of sargassum to get into the water). The busses are frequent and travel quickly. The restaurants are good, and there are some coffee shops as well.
I love walking through this town. Many quaint shops, the ferry to Dockyard, very good restaurants. Recommend White Horse Tavern - great Bermuda Fish sandwich and fish tacos. The drinks were good too. Many favorite shops - Bermuda Salt Spray Soap, The Island Shop and Saltwater Jewellery Design to name a few.
Walking around is very easy. There are some super restaurants...White horse, Marlins, The Wharf...and great coffee/breakfast/lunch places like CV Cafe and Gojo's. The ice cream place across from the grocery store is amazing and pretty much always open.
