In the Yoho National Park surrounded by the Rocky Mountains, the Emerald Lake Lodge features rooms with wood burning fireplaces. An outdoor hot tub, 3 restaurants and a lounge are also provided. Beautiful location, upmarket but very relaxed. Lovely shared areas. Very special.
Offering panoramic views of Lake Louise and the Victoria Glacier, this 4-star resort is in Banff National Park. The resort health club facilities includes a heated indoor pool and a state-of-the-art... It was the day I proposed my girlfriend and it was a really wonderful night. They gave me a complimentaty gift and it was remarkable. The room with the lake view is extraordinary. A experience that I will forever remember!
This unique hotel is within a 5-minute walk of Lake Louise. The hotel offers a rooftop hot tub with views of the Victoria Glacier, an on-site restaurant and free WiFi. The building is very old...the floors squeak, things kind of sit on an angle, you can hear the neighbors...but this is what gives it its charm! So don’t expect new and sparkly, but just enjoy the rustic, history of it!
Set amid the Canadian Rockies in Banff National Park, this hostel features an on-site cafe and 2 self-catering guest kitchens. It includes private storage for guests and acts as a ski pass vendor. Great hostel - best location for lake Louise, great rooms and loved the sauna too after a long day hiking. Staff were great - big kitchen downstairs to cook but also a nice restaurant on site
This Golden, British Columbia guest accommodations is set between Lake Louise and Golden’s Kicking Horse Resort. Loved the chalet, the view, privacy, river nearby. Davin was very helpful and even cut the fire wood for us for campfire. Overall amazing experience!
In Banff National Park and the village of Lake Louise, this hotel features an indoor hot tub. Free Wi-Fi and satellite TV are provided in all rooms. Rooms were small but really clean and beds were so comfy. Great location. We will definitely stay again.
Located 20 minutes’ drive from Lake Louise in an isolated setting, this hostel offers shared kitchen facilities and a wood heated sauna. Cross-country and backcountry skiing are available on site. amazing hostel located in the most beautiful and peaceful location. The facilities re basic but it's warm, clean and has everything you could need. We cozied up to the fire all night and enjoyed the sound of nature!
We stayed at the Emerald Lake Lodge outside of Field. Notwithstanding this, the village itself is quite interesting. To stay in the village overnight you have to be impervious to train noise. The mountains surrounding Field and the attractions close by are outstanding. It's beauty surpasses Lake Louise, in my opinion.
We had a really great time here .If anyone is looking for a little winter wonderland this is the place. Beautiful place to stay right on the lake. My husband and I went snow shoeing which was a really beautiful trail. Had an amazing dinner and bottle of wine curled up by the fire in the main lodge, service is great. Would highly recommend checking this place out with your partner. Very romantic.
Field is a beautiful quaint town with endless activities in the area. Back country skiing and ice climbing everywhere! Eat dinner at Truffle Pigs and breakfast or a lunch at the Sliding Door Cafe. The area is incredible.
Cheaper accomodations, beautiful scenery, great information center, and nearness to local attractions such as Kicking Horse Mountain and Takakka Falls. I understand that there is a 2 hr walk from Takakka falls that takes in 5 other waterfalls, several as appealing as Takakka Falls that I wish I had known about sooner.
A great town to stay in in Yoho and not far at all from Banff, but much quieter, more homely and more relaxed. Also the setting-off point to see Burgess Shale if you're into fossils so definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.
Field is an historic town with a small population just just off the #1 highway. The Great Divide Lodge is well out of town and on the main highway opposite a lake. It has an interesting historic background; was rebuilt in 1961 and is now in need of an upgrade. The Lodge provides high priced rustic basic accommodation.
Friendly staff, very nice location and so close to nature. Breakfast is well prepared and delicious.
Beautiful location, upmarket but very relaxed. Lovely shared areas. Very special.
