Located on the beautiful shores of Lake Simcoe at Jackson’s Point, this resort center features a private beach. Free Wi-Fi is available within the hotel. We had a great time and very good experience. Manager by himself open the room for us, made sure everything is ok and surprised us with champagne bottle, because we celebrated birthday. It was very sweet and thoughtful. Everything was clean and stuff very friendly. Breakfast was ok, basically everything what you need (scramble eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereals, pastries, brad, etc.) only thing what I was missing was some fresh vegetables like cucumber or tomatoes.
Just off Highway 400 and 4 miles from downtown Barrie, this Holiday Inn Express features a spacious indoor pool facility. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. Whats not to like?. It has everything one could possibly need when travelling. Just book it and see for yourself
This hotel is 1.9 mi from downtown Barrie, Ontario and Centennial Beach on Lake Simcoe. It features spacious rooms with a 32-inch flat-screen TV . We have stayed here several times and have always appreciated the friendliness of the staff. This time they went out of their way to locate a phone charger for us as we forgot to pack one. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The buffet breakfast had a good variety of dishes to choose from. The location is easy to get to, just off Hwy 400. We will be choosing this hotel again.
Clydesdale House is located in Barrie, less than 10 minutes' walk from the waterfront and beach. All guest rooms include free WiFi and satellite TV. Everything was perfect. I was expecting just a little more choices for the breakfast, as it was rated "exceptional"... I don't think it was exceptional, just very good. Denise was amazing though! (the hostess).
The Holiday Inn Barrie Hotel & Conference Center is located in Barrie with each room providing cable TV, coffee/tea making facilities and a refrigerator. From the minute I called about travelling with our cat to the second we checked out the staff was amazing. There was a call half an hour after we checked in to make sure that we found everything and if there was anything further we needed. The beds were so comfortable. My husband loved the pillows and comforter so much he wanted to know if products could be purchased by guests . They really cater to their guests individual needs and in this difficult time with COVID it was great to not worry as the rooms and common areas were so clean and protected.
I came to Jackson’s point to sort of hit the refresh button n get re aligned.. I went alone n it was everything I needed. Went kayaking.. went joggin.. went for massage and for the most part I e joyed the beautiful view of the lake n just kicked back n enjoyed my readings n journaling
The whole area is beautiful, drive around Lake Simcoe has some fabulous views. Very very relaxing and everywhere spotless. Simcoe Arms and Boondocks are a must for something to eat, great food, service, and massive portions.
The room looked nothing like the photos. I didn’t like how my room was not cleaned very well at all. Had not been vacuumed and floors appeared to be not mopped. It had dust on most surfaces. The door to outside had a big gap in the side and bottom and the cold air came right through the room. I had requested a different room because of this and they did. However it was in the same condition. Nothing was done after that to accommodate us in anyway. The pool had very poor hours and the food at the restaurant was terrible. I liked that it was pet friendly.
Our GPS to direct us to this place made the trip from Orillia about an hour longer with unnecessary routes , going back was about 20 minutes. Not the hotels fault but the phone. Make sure to recheck your route .
Not satisfied with putting an extra $150 on my credit card for any reason. It doesn't happen anywhere else in my travels. The room was fine and the staff where very hospitable ! Some construction issues that are easy fixes.
