CanadaI liked almost everything from the moment we walked in the door. The staff were clearly a team and dedicated to making sure things ran well. More like a family than a staff. The Pub sets the tone, but upstairs is just adorable. It's newly renovated upstairs, and while it was a little DIY, that actually fits the eclectic vibe of a building from 1928. I could not stop bragging about this boutique hotel. Well done.
The double room was like having two rooms because the bathroom and kitchenette were between them.
Super clean, well cared for.

We like to walk and found it really easy to walk into the...
We like to walk and found it really easy to walk into the small town. There are a mixture of independent shops and cafes which, we really liked. There are plenty of nice walks and it is not far to drive to interesting small towns, an area with lots of history. Travellers really do need to get off the main highways and explore the area, it is lovely. Most side roads are quiet and have beautiful views. The snow capped mountains are always in view.

If you wish to stay in a place to just have a quiet time...
If you wish to stay in a place to just have a quiet time with family. Your family bonding will be all worth it. The simple atmosphere and serenity of the surroundings will give you inner peace. We support local business so we recommend Hitchin Post as your go to for yummy burgers and milkshakes. The people of High River are very friendly and a laid back life is what we sometimes miss , come and visit High River and support local businesses.

High River is an excellent location for birdwatchers to...
High River is an excellent location for birdwatchers to visit nearby Frank Lake, with many different bird species present. It is also the gateway to the Rockies, via nearby Longview, a very scenic route to the mountains. Fans of Heartland will enjoy seeing some of the settings for the show, and the town centre has good coffee shops and some restaurants.

Wish things around the area stayed open at least til Thanksgiving.
High River is a perfect place to stay it is central to lots of things we drove to Waterton and back. I have attached pictures of the beautiful nature of the park.
Down to Nanton to the air museumand candy store and all their little shops too.
Also out to Black Diamond.

High River was a great place to stay, our hotel...
High River was a great place to stay, our hotel accomodations at the Super 8 was great, restaurants and shopping were very close by. The people were friendly and helpful in helping my family find the local sites and good places to shop and eat. Can't wait to go back and finish exploring more of what High River has to offer!

The hotel did not have our reservation in the computer when we arrived.
This made it time consuming for the lady at the desk.
The free breakfast consisted of a small yougurt, a granola bar and a juice box.

The hotel was really nice. We had to book a place last minute and come very early in the morning and the staff were very accommodating and helpful. They made us feel very welcome. The room was very clean and comfortable. And the pool was a big highlight for our kids!

This facility was recently updated so it felt very new. The room was larger than many hotel rooms, the breakfast was great, and access to major roads was easy.
