Facing the beachfront in Shannonville, Salmon River Motel features a garden. The accommodations offers a shared kitchen and room service for guests. The rooms were very clean with all the basic essentials you need. Galyna and Paul were superb hosts and went out of their way to make our night as pleasurable as possible. We came from Toronto looking for a nice relaxing place to stay. We hadn’t brought some items needed for bbq and fire entertainment but both Paul and Galyna went out of their way to make us happy with everything we needed - even chopping firewood in the dark! The property is beautiful, and great for walking. We enjoyed a glass of wine on their dock on the river. Theres a lot you don’t see from the road. Amazing people, amazing price, amazing time! We will definitely be back!
The Backcountry Inn & Hostel is located in Ontario's Prince Edward County. The building maintains its rustic charm and historical significance. It’s in a great location away from the busier Picton area. There is a fire pit and the beds are very comfortable! Would recommend to everyone!!
Napanee is a great little town. We've only ever driven in off the highway to stop for gas but this time we were there for 3 days. We discovered some great restaurants, including one on the waterfront in an old 1800s building and a pub on the main street. There's an awesome coffee shop with the best scones, Coffee Cravings. And for people with kids, the best playground ever, which has a zip-line type ride. Even our 18-year-old loved it.
We loved the waterfront restaurant the food was excellent and it is on a garden. Service was friendly. Napanee is a little far from sandbanks however when other hotels are full you can stay in Napanee!
We were here to research our United Empire Loyalists genealogy and visit some local cemeteries. We spent quite a bit of time at the Lennox and Addington Museum and Archives. The staff there, Lisa in particular, couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly! The building was beautifully renovated. It was my first time in Napanee but it won’t be my last.
We visited Napanee in March as part of a Southern Ontario road trip for my wife and I. The people are friendly. There are enough amenities to fit your needs. The scenery is stunning! And the atmosphere feels so much like "coming home" that that is exactly what it became. We came back in September to purchase a home, and will be spending our lives here!
We didn't spend too much time in Napanee its self so I'm not qualified to answer. But from what I saw it was a quiet friendly town. Near Price Edward County which was very cute & very nice beaches.
An excellent spot that is in a quiet older residential area which is ideal for the traveler. We liked it so much that we stopped at The fox Inn on the return leg of our trip. The room was a reasonable price too. Good value for the quality of the room and its amenities.
It was located near the highway and we were fortunate enough to be on the second floor.
Very wellcoming and polite staff, nice, clean and spacious rooms.
Easy access to the road and hwy
