Our 6 nights stay included a few days with considerable rain...
Our 6 nights stay included a few days with considerable rain and so it helpful to have considered many options for the stay in order to accommodate variable weather. We enjoyed whale watching on AML in Tadoussac and the "superior deck" on the ship option turned out to be ideal for us given the rain. The islet hike is easy and lovely. The Marine Mammal Interpretation Centre is ideal for kids; less so for solo adults. The Saguenay Fjord National Park is full of great hikes although keep in mind whether you've chosen the North or South shore for any particular hikes since there are few crossings. We enjoyed the Sentier de la Statue (trail) in the Baie Eternité sector and then enjoyed the access by car lookout at La Tabatière nearby and had a great lunch at a micro-brasseries in L'anse St Jean, also nearby. In Chicoutimi, the Musée de la Petite Maison Blanche was well-worth a visit as was the huge Parc du Moulin. The Chicoutimi regional museum, La Pulperie was also an excellent informative museum about the area

The town centre is pleasant and relaxed, with nice cafes,...
The town centre is pleasant and relaxed, with nice cafes, restaurants, and a selection of shops including a good book shop. Also there is a fine municipal library, with friendly helpful staff, and pleasant small parks and architecture. Above all the river Saguenay is very attractive. its breath and adjacent wooded hills results in fine reflections. I wish I had been able to spend more time than my 1-2 days exploring the town and nearby area.

It is just breath taking, the scenary, Saguenay and Lac...
It is just breath taking, the scenary, Saguenay and Lac Saint Jean area is marvelous. Hiking, biking, walks, sight seeing, it has it all. I loved it, and the road towards Saint Feliciene was amazing, the lakes are beautifull.

Saguenay is a beautiful sector, North of Quebec, which seems like the diamond in the rough.
No one would think about going to Sagueneay, however, they have great outdoors, both winter and summer.
Definitely, a must-visit for anyone who appreciates the great outdoors.

WE WERE THERE FOR A QMJHL OR LHMJQ(FRENCH) HOCKEY GAME WHICH IS VERY GOOD QUALITY HOCKEY PLAYED IN A VERY GOOD FACILITY. WEATHER PERMITTING, CHICOUTIMI OFFERS MANY GOOD WINTER SPORTS OPTIONS, ESPECIALLY SNOWMOBILING. IT IS VERY SCENIC AND A SUMMERTIME VISIT WOULD BE VERY BEAUTIFUL

The location was good and convenient, Nice staff and clean property , except noise from next room that was too loud!
We ate at Boston pizza which is a part of the hotel. Next time I bring warmer clothes to walk in nature because of beautiful winter scenery and fresh weather!
