Come here for Outdoor activities and undeveloped outdoor space ... which seems to be disappearing fast due to over- development ...will be going back less in the future. It's beginning to look like a regular suburban town ..suffocating...
The sand is soft and white (when it's sunny and dry). The beach is very large and super long. Our kids enjoyed playing in the sand. Water is quite refreshing, we've been in the beginning of July and we were unlucky with 2 days of cold wind and some rain weather. Water is clean. There are stores along the beach, places to buy food, toilets, parking (I saw it was not free, but us we had parking included with our motel).
I like the laid back atmosphere of this city, the tranquility as not too much crowded, the cleanliness and last but not least, the very beautiful beach that has many different access within different points in the city. There is also Collingwood and the fantastic Blue Mountains village less than half an hour drive from the beach!
Retail venues on the beach strip were closed! (keeping in mind, i was there during wk not wkends) It's easily a walk about town. There is a public bus line which is needed & it needs expansion. Thankgoodness for Wasaga Cab :)
Wasaga Beach is a national treasure that needs to be protected and should remain as a public domain. It has great beach appeal with quaint shops and a multitude of places to stay even within walking distance to the beach. There are many places to eat and often weekend events for extra entertainment (Car rallies, volleyball tournaments, midway, etc.). The town and province need to preserve the shoreline and visitors need to respect the beach by Not bringing glass and cleaning up after themselves. Use the recycling and garbage facilities provided and enjoy it for years to come! Don't forget the numerous towns nearby with many of their own attractions to accommodate those wanting to do more than relax on the beach.
Good, clean beach, not overcrowded, you can buy anything there:clothes, sand toys ,inflatable stuff for swimming, tents, beach umbrellas, food, ice cream,a lot of parking lots near the beach. Overall great experience. Definitely will come again. Didn't notice any lifeguard.
Wasaga Beach
This was the perfect, clean and easy place to stay for our 5 nights in Wasaga Beach. It's not fancy but it is impeccably clean and having our own door meant we didn't have to wear a mask to get to/from our room, unlike a hotel. Chris welcomed us warmly and encouraged us to feel at home. The kitchenette in the room (with full size fridge) and bbq grills and seating areas out front were very useful for being able to make meals. We'll stay here again next time we're in the Wasaga Beach/Collingwood area.
Wasaga Beach
The hotel is perfectly located. 4 min walk to the beach. Staff is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. You have everything you need there (baby crib, microwave, mini fridge, towels, toiletry, TV). Its super clean. What was more important for me is the pet free policy as my husband and my son are asthmatic and allergic to pets. I'm satisfied with our stay and will recommend to others.
Wasaga Beach
This was a very nice little motel that is well maintained. It was about a block from a beautiful beach and also a park. It was also close to town with a restaurant next door. I liked that it had separate bedrooms, a living area, and a little kitchen. Very nice staff.
Wasaga Beach
The location and walking distance to the beach was good and it was private, partially shaded and the cute little town of Tiny that seemed less busy than Wasaga Beach itself yet it had a couple little stores
Wasaga Beach
I like the place. It is near to beach, liquor store and restaurants.
