Rose-Marie's Paradies is set in Aesch in the Basel-Landschaft Region. Free private parking is available on site. The room features a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. A lovely house at the edge of a residential area, very close to the countryside. The warmest of welcomes. A lovely chat with the hostess before departure. A very roomy bathroom connected to the big bedroom. A very handy desk. The loan of a converter for the electric sockets, which are different in Switzerland from the rest of Europe.
Originally a Capuchin monastery dating from the 17th century, Kloster Dornach is only 164 feet from Dornach-Arlesheim Train Station and 7.5 mi from Basel. Amazing location few steps from the train station. Friendly and helpfull staff, kloster-like room that was a bit dark and creaky but the atmosphere was worth it. Clean and modern bathrooms and toilets.

Covid had lead to breakfast being unavailable, so we were pleased to have breakfast provisions provided for a DIY breakfast instead
Perhaps if a person was staying for a good few days, it would be ok. Otherwise, it’s just too inconvenient. No real eating places nearby and not any place to really collect groceries that’s easily accessible.
We stayed in Aesch as we were going to the europa league final in Basel. Aesch is only 5 miles from Basel city centre and has excellent tram link to city centre, just 20 mins on tram. It was a perfect choice as it was only £110.00 per night with breakfast included,if you want to stay in Basel and want to avoid the ridiculous prices for rooms in Basel City then Ghastof Mule Hotel is a good choice. The added bonus is that its situated in beautiful countryside.
