The hotel is value for money.
The hotel is value for money. Affoltern is just half an hour from Zurich. Given that the hotel is very close to the train station, the hotel is our base to explore Switzerland. From Affoltern via train, we can go seamlessly to Zurich, Zug. Luzern, Interlaken, Fluelen, Brig, Bern, Rheinfall and St Gallen.
The train station has a convenient store which we can buy bread, pastry, juices and snacks.
Really recommend other travellers to stay at this hotel.

A small quiet village with all the facilities (supermarkets, banks, places to eat) though actually all that I did in the village itself was sleep, shop and eat. The big attraction is the closeness to other attractions (I travelled around on the train, Affoltern has frequent services on the line between Zurich and Zug) visiting Zurich and Lucerne, the mountains and the lakes ...

We enjoyed our stay for the most part unfortunately
We got locked out of the building and had to ring the emergency number of the hotel as our swipe on my phone stopped working, we had to have a new card made with the lady on the phone who was very helpful.
Also the pillows are way to soft and bedlinen not great, may I suggest putting cotton linen on the duvet and more solid pillows please.
The apartment was spotless and clean.

We were unexpectedly delayed and when I phoned the hotel to inform them that we would be arriving late, they said they would leave a key for us to let ourselves in, which they did.

Again a very nice stay in this hotel, good sized room, great shower and nice small kitchen with refrigerator comes in very practical when you do not want to eat out all the time!
