Clean, organised & well maintained - Even in heavy snow the property was well maintained. Amazing hot shower!! Lovely breakfast & excellent pizza restaurant right on your doorstep. Staff only speak German but you can communicate well enough in the end - owners are dedicated to ensuring you enjoy your stay. They meditated a booking.com error I experienced & made a fair compromise So close to the ski field!!

We went for hiking nearby, so we wanted a hotel that is comfortable but not fancy because we will only sleep there. The hotel was very clean, well maintained, and quiet, meeting all our need. Staffs are very friendly. Restaurant was great. Food are quite nice. They seem to specialize on cordon bleu because one third of the menu is dedicated to different variation of cordon bleu (made my partner very happy).

Very responsive owners, nice spa, we got two free drinks for a restaurant next door and... Something rare in Switzerland in my view (and I am a Swiss person), owners are actually genuinely trying to help and do not make a face when you speak English to them... I did not feel I was bothering when asking for smth, which again, is rare in Swiss hotel family owned... Refreshing :-)

Bürchen is a quiet village above the main valley.

Bürchen is a quiet village above the main valley. If you're looking to get away from noise and hustle and bustle, this is the place to be. Numerous hiking trails are located around the village and there is bus service to the valley or up to Moosalp. Don't forget to eat a famous Cremeschnitte at the Moosalp restaurant. There is a short hike south from Moosalp to an amazing overlook that provides 180 degree views to the Bernese alps and towards Zermatt.

Very nice, obliging and friendly hosts, great breakfast, spotless facilities, beautiful location with scenic hikes up the hill behind the hotel. Recommended for couples who like the quiet, natural environment and walking, and have their own car to get here.
