We originally planned to stay in Zermatt, but due to a recent storm, we had to change our plans and ended up booking at the DU GLACIER Hotel in Fiesch — and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The hotel itself is modern and cozy on the inside, with beautiful surroundings and a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were incredibly warm and friendly, making us feel welcome right away. One of the highlights was definitely the jacuzzi on the balcony — enjoying a warm soak with a drink from the bar in hand while looking out at the mountain views was pure bliss. The breakfast was also excellent, with a wide selection of fresh and tasty options to start the day right. We highly recommend the Glacier Hotel to anyone visiting the area — it truly deserves 10 stars! Thank you for an unforgettable stay.

Hospitality and breakfast was very good

Excellent property with a cozy laid back feel in the village of Muhlebach. The hosts are very warm and welcoming even though there was a small language barrier. They even gave us a plum cake with vanilla cream. We had a private balcony and a private bathroom. The view from the room and the bathroom is amazing. There is a lot of things to cook and even space to sit and possibly have a barbeque in the garden. The Aletsch glacier cable is from a close by place Fiesch. Highly recommended.

The location could not be better and excellent quality for the price.

We spent a fantastic week in Fiesch, and staying at Hotel des Alpes was easily the best decision of our trip. ​The room interiors were impressive—everything felt brand new, incredibly clean, and thoughtfully designed. The room service was exceptionally attentive, and every staff member we encountered was genuinely friendly and professional, making us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. ​One of the highlights was the restaurant downstairs. In my opinion, it is hands-down the best place to eat in town. The quality of the food and the overall dining experience were superb. Additionally, the Guest Card provided upon check-in made the stay extremely cost-effective, offering incredible value for money. ​Location-wise, it couldn't be more convenient. It is just a 5-minute walk to the Fiesch train station and the cable car for the Aletsch Glacier, which made our daily logistics seamless. It is also only a 12-minute stroll to the local sauna and swimming pool facilities, which was perfect for post-ski recovery. A highly recommended stay for anyone visiting the area!

The place is amazing with view of alps and Matterhorn. Staff was very kind and helpful. They even warmed sauna for us when we came from hike the day we had already checked out.

The hotel is conveniently located near the bus stop to Fiesch. With a short ride (3 min) one arrives to the Ski Lift in Fiesch. Breakfast theme was very good with a variety of options and the spa and swimming pool were basically empty during the day. Optimal choice for ski-lovers.

Ich hatte einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt und kann dieses familiengeführte Hotel von Herzen weiterempfehlen. Man merkt sofort, mit wie viel Herzlichkeit und Engagement die Familie das Hotel führt. Dadurch entsteht eine warme und Atmosphäre, in der ich mich während meiner fünf Nächte wie zu Hause gefühlt habe. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber und sehr gepflegt. Das Frühstück war jeden Morgen frisch, abwechslungsreich und ausgesprochen lecker. Die Lage ist ideal als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in der wunderschönen Aletschregion. Mein Zimmer hatte zudem einen traumhaften Blick in Richtung der 4000en Gipfeln inkl. Matterhorn. Ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen und kann dieses Hotel allen empfehlen, die eine authentische, herzliche Unterkunft mit familiärer Atmosphäre suchen.
