Set in a historical building dating back to 1707 in the center of Uhwiesen, Les Mignardises offers a garden with a terrace and barbecue facilities, free WiFi, and free parking. Very helpful owner, asked for a kettle and laundry - and all were made available.
Located in a quiet area in Schaffhausen, 1969 feet from the Rhine River and 1.9 mi from the Rheinfall, the biggest waterfall in Europe, Hotel Park Villa features an à la carte restaurant serving... This hotel is one of the most beautiful I have stayed in. My partner and I would definitely revisit. The staff were all extremely friendly and accommodating. The owner was very lovely, and his story including a brief history of the hotel was published in a magazine which we read about over breakfast. We were upgraded to a beautiful room without knowing it until we walked into the room #17. The hotel is designed in a period style down to the very last details, and staying in the room was like being transported to another era. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms large and beautifully designed. They have an antique appearance, but a modern way of functioning. The addition of a tennis court was really nice, and although we didnt get a chance to play ourselves, we watched others playing from our balcony and enjoyed the spectacle. The park next to the villa provides a serene and blissful setting, and brings more nature into the surrounding town. The way to the Rhine Falls is a walkable distance from the hotel along a lovely river path. We decided to dine in at the restaurant for dinner and were not disappointed. The prices were very reasonable for the portions, quality, and taste of the food. We each received a large platter with the main course and two sides--very generous portions. The fish was very fresh and delicious, and the staff were able to accommodate my dairy allergy gladly (something I am never able to encounter in Germany without a fuss), and used fragrant oils to cook my meal in instead of butter. We also ordered a white wine of the staff's recommendation to pair it with, and a most delicious dairy free dessert afterward. Breakfast at the hotel was also superb and included with our room. They provided fresh salmon, cheese, meats, delicious ripe fruits, and a large bread basket. They also provided orange juice, coffee, and high quality tea. The entire experience of staying at this hotel is more than worth the price.
Located a 15-minute walk from IWC Museum, City Stay Furnished Apartments - Fäsenstaubstrasse offers accommodations with a balcony. Free WiFi is provided and private parking is available on site. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom is on the smaller side, but still comfortable. Everything was very clean! Location is great, right next to a nice park and close to a bus stop. The train station is only 5 minutes walk.
Located amid a park-style garden, this family-run hotel is a 5-minute walk away from the Schaffhausen Train Station and the city center. Great staff, room, and garden behind the building. We made a mistake on dates and they helped us out without a question even though they could get the money directly
Built in the 14th and 15th centuries, the prestigious Guildhall Rueden is a successful example of the architecture of this time. The refined façade allows you to forget the 21st century. Loved the building! The modern addition to an ancient building is incredible! The staff was great and friendly. The breakfast was excellent!
Dating from 1654, this traditional hotel in the historic center of Schaffhausen is just a 5-minute walk away from the train station. Hotel2B features the restaurant US-Mex and has a bar. Loved this place. Our group had three rooms, all different and all fun and interesting. Toiletries! Comfort plus: beds, in room coffee, bike storage. The attached mexican was popular, a bit pricey of course and decent ( coming from someone who eats mexican in California and Mexico regularly. Very hospitable owner. Makes a good margarita. Stay here for sure.
Located in the center of Schaffhausen, Hotel Kronenhof offers views of the Munot Fortress, free Wi-Fi, and 2 restaurants. Middle of the city, nice decorated, comfortable and clean room, cute litte balcony with great views. Minibar and a lots of small extras, that make guests feel important.
Biggest waterfalls in Europe - stunning! Lots of options for taking everything in. The Neuhausen side of the falls is unrestricted - no payment required. But if you go to the Schloss Laufen side, you can get almost close enough to touch the water for the cost of a few francs. Eating options are limited and expensive, around the falls so visit after breakfast or lunch!
It is an impressive waterfall. You have to pay CHF5 to see it though. I suspect in the season it would be very crowded, and you only need a couple of hours. Worth it if it is not too far out of your way.
We were supposed to stay in Schaffhausen but as we drove in and tried to find a hotel, there was very little at a decent price. We booked this hotel and were a bit worried but it was great. Plenty of eateries around and a close walk to the falls
Location is everything. Rheinfalls on you doorstep. Train service is excellent, Recommend visit to Stein am Rhein, View from the Burg Hohenklingen is Superb. Neuhausen is quite, no nightlife to speak of. Like everywhere in Switzerland dining out is quite pricey.
Didn't expect the town to be so charming, with many walking trails around the Rhine falls. Had a good meal in the restaurant facing the falls, delicious and surprisingly good value. The city is well served by buses and trains.
Besides the spectacular falls, stay away from this town, we were here on a Saturday night and it as likes ghost town, bars were uninviting and only a handful of restaurants open, the one we picked, the food was ok but expensive for what we had. Don't stop but go to a more welcoming place.
Hotel is located within walking distance of the Rhine fall. Staff is very friendly and guy at reception explained all the different possibilities for visiting the Rhine fall and the town really well. Breakfast is okay.
It's a best low budget Hotel available in the city. Hotel is clean and tidy, staffs are very accommodative. Very near to Rheinfalls, Train station and super markets.
