IsraelWe had a marvelous stay! The location was excellent, and the staff went above and beyond to make our vacation exceptional. We had a room upgrade and the head of front of desk was kind and super helpful. Another staff member gave us umbrellas on the house when we left in the rain!

A very clean, safe, attractive city.
A very clean, safe, attractive city. People were friendly and there was so much to see just by walking about. The free bus card we received at the hotel gave us a great deal of flexibility to explore beyond the immediate area. Thun is a great location to use as a base and ake day trips to places such as Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen, Murren, and the Emmental area.

A beautiful lakeside town with a scenic backdrop of...
A beautiful lakeside town with a scenic backdrop of snowcapped mountains. Well serviced by Rail, bus and boat. A very clean city, with a good choice of bars, shops and scenic walks. There are many routes up to the Church that commands the landscape, or you can walk along the river and sit and watch the world go by.
Bern is 20 mins away by rail in one direction and the Jungfrau region 20 mins away in the other.
Also, the local residents we found to be warm, friendly and right proud people - we have a lot of love for Thun - A beautiful place to stay and visit. And their football team are good too !!

Thun is a nice city.
Thun is a nice city. Very easy to walk around and small shops that are nice. We were there in December which was chilly and blue/grey, but the Christmas market was cheerful and bright. We took day trips to Bern, Speiz, Schilthorn, and Interlaken and always appreciated coming back to this quieter town. In the summer it would be interesting to enjoy the lake and all the activities offered.

3 Families sent us exchange students years ago, and we are still friends with all of them, so a lot of visiting. Dinner on the lake, afternoon tea at Schloss Schadau, downtown area by the river. plenty of scenic side trips like the funicular up the Neisen and the Thunerseespiele (musical presented in an outdoor theater overlooking the lake) and plenty of other things to se and do

Downtown Thun is absolutely beautiful!
Downtown Thun is absolutely beautiful! Mountain and lake views abound! Lots of wonderful shops and restaurants to choose from! There is also a castle located right in the downtown area! A very nice place to tour!

Amazing alternative to Interlaken.
Amazing alternative to Interlaken. I felt the hotels were more beautiful and a better value. Less tourism, so our visit was met with so much more enthusiasm vs. Interlaken, where lots of tourism seems to be met with annoyance by the locals. Loved Thun. So beautiful and peaceful. Just a short 30 min train ride to Interlaken.

Lovely big room with everything you need and tastefully decorated.
Wardrobe contains slippers and robe.
Very comfortable bed and bedding.
Very quiet.
Spacious bathroom with everything you need (and toiletries)
Frequent free (card given by the hotel) transport on the buses to get to and from Thun centre/Thun train station just about 15 minutes away!
Personnel very efficient and friendly.

Very warm welcoming hotel and the room was excellent.
Great location and easy to get to/from the centre. Bus Stop is right outside the hotel.
Access to Lake Thun is a couple of minutes away on foot.
Breakfast selection was great.
Overall highly recommended.

Rooms are clean and safe. location is 15min walk to bahnhof , bus number 1 to stop seepark is stopping next to hotel, there is water purification in the corridor of the hotel to get drinking water.

Lovely view of the town, Castle Thun and the River! There were many eateries within 5-10 mins walk from the hotel. There was also a Christmas village nearby during our stay.
