Thun was amazing, it was a stay over on the way to somewhere else so we hadn’t really researched it much. It was so much more than we anticipated, clean, beautiful, plenty to walk round and see. I think it is somewhere we would definitely come back. Also it’s a great location for nearby places to visit and we had a morning up in Grindelwald which was amazing

We stayed 4 nights in Thun. Its the perfect place to stay as the hotel gives you a Panaroma card which gives you free travel by train or bus - until Interlaken. Also to all the beautiful villages that the bus serivce STC has. Brilliant!!!! Room is just great very clean, housekeeping done every day. The hotel overlooks Thun lake. Amazing. Thun and surrounding is a place of fantastic nature. Lakes, mountains, beautiful views and some nice cafes and restaurant. There is so many things to see, you have to stop by every village to experience local beauty. It was small calm city, I prefer book in Interlaken and visit all the Cities around it. If you book in Interlaken, you can visit Thun, Grindelwald and Brienz. All of them around 30 minutes from Interlaken

Thun is a fantastic old town with a ton of charm.
Thun is a fantastic old town with a ton of charm. From river canals to castles and gardens, you can spend hours roaming up and down the town's historic streets and paths. Plus, you can find many adventures from the town into the surrounding mountains. Less busy, more romantic, and much more history than Interlaken.

We had a big comfortable room with a view of the castle and was very well located eg for restaurants and old town. The hotel gave us good information about the sights and especially about nearby paid parking for which it is possible to get a discount via the hotel. There was a restaurant in the hotel and also a free coffee station and an “honesty” bar for some snacks and drinks. We were really happy there and Thun is a very nice town.HilaryAustralia
