Surrounded by beautiful mountains and nature and located only a 10-minute drive from the town center of Corralco, Chili Wild - Las Vertientes offers self-catering bungalow accommodations in... The host is wonderful, both of them are caring and lovely. The location is very close to Malalcahuello downtown, but isolated, we were on our own there. Perfect. Breakfast was always fresh and all made by them, goat cheese (delicous, handmade bread, jam, and perfect smoothies. It was so relaxing to stay there, quiet and beautiful.
Cabaña San Pedro is set in Malalcahuello. The holiday home, set in a building dating from 2019, offers free private parking. With 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, this holiday home has a flat-screen TV. The cabin was amazing. Really nice and super warm. Big and confy! The host, Gladys was amazing and really nice to us. Completly recommended if you want to spend some nice days in Malalcahuello.
- The volcano Lonquimay, is beautiful, you can enter the park to take pictures and be at the base of the volcano. During winter they have a ski station. - The “Camino Cuesta las Raices” is a must, you will encounter awesome landscapes. For a wet weather would be better to go with a pickup truck, but with a regular weather a regular automobile will do fine.
The nearby Conguillo National Park is worth a visit!!! The road through the park is challenging in some parts (to meet other vehicles was not easiest). I was happy we took 4x4. If You want to access the Park from north side is Thermas de Malalc. good choice. If you plan to start from south entrance it can take 2-3 hours to drive if You start at Malalcahuello. We were 2 times in Conguillo, and ticket was valid even for the second day (maybe even more). After whole day in Conguillo it was nice to visit pool at Thermas de M.
I would not go to Malalcahuello for the town, but the skiing and off-piste ski-mountaineering at Ski Corralco and Volcan Lonquimay was 5-star! Malalcahuello has a handful of good restaurants and a very nice spa-resort. There are many small properties that offer private cabins. There are no shopping zones, good ski shops, or anything social to do other than hang out at one of a few bars. The area is peaceful, beautiful with views of multiple volcanoes and snowy peaks. We had the BEST water of our lives here - right out of the tap.
