Hosts Raquel & Sergio were helpful, and their cabanas are nicely off the beaten track. On the other side of the inlet from the trip hawkers in Puerto Rio Tranquilo, and at the foot of a thrilling mountain crossing, Puerto Sanchez is a small village but a perfect base from which to see the marble caves. Sergio will be your skipper, and Raquel’s brother, Jason, was our enthusiastic and informative guide. It was a great boat trip. Also, we enjoyed cooking for ourselves for a change. Gather your provisions in Coyhaique and make use of the fully appointed kitchen. (There are no cafes in Puerto Sanchez.) Sergio had a fire built in the stove, ready to light. The bed was comfortable. We had a very relaxing time in Puerto Sanchez.

This was the nicest rental place that we have stayed at in Chile. It was well built, clean, and comfortable. It was across the street from the beach. It had onsite parking.

The place was one block off main street and easy walking distance to a supermarket and the tours. Bed was comfy and the kitchen was nice. Place was very affordable, especially when we weren't there much.

Cozy, very clean cabin that looks just like the pictures and has plates, pots, pans and cutlery, a 4 burner stove, microwave/toaster/oven combo and a large fridge. Beds were very comfortable and shower had lots of water pressure and hot water. Apartment is heated via a single wood burning stove in the living area, so the bedrooms are a little cooler, but the beds have plenty of blankets, so no problem there. Hostess Carmen is lovely, very cheerful and friendly. She showed us round everything in the cabin when we checked in and set the fire for us. She also made sure we had an inexhaustible supply of wood for the stove. It seemed to just appear magically in the basket outside like elves had come by. LOL. Parking is right outside your cabin in the gated garden area.
