5-Star Hotels in Qixian

The hotel building is a historical building with a long history. It is a beautiful and well maintained old building. Our hotel room was spacious and very comfortable with all the modern necessities, We were also given yummy treats of cookies and black vinegar (a speciality of Datong and Pingyao). Breakfast was very good and the serving was big. The location of hotel is very good cos it is near the West Gate and the historical buildings and restaurants are all within walking distance in the old city. The staff at the hotel are just excellent. Alice the manager is such a vibrant, knowledgeable and helpful lady who speaks very good english.

Staff is incredibly helpful and goes above and beyond despite the language barrier. Very nice room, full of any kind of amenity. The hotel itself is gorgeous with a beautiful courtyard.

The location is really nice, in the old city. The staff was amazing, very helpful and nice, made us feel at home. The room was clean and confortable. Breakfast was also good, american style.

This hotel is inside the ancient city, it is convenient to explore the city. Fast check in and out Pleasant staff Hotel is not crowded. I only saw one guest throughout my one day stay The next day, I got up early and I was able to walk the entire city (no crowds) I felt very safe The hotel does not have a restaurant, however one is not needed; there are numerous restaurants in the city. I ordered from Meituan. Breakfast the next day was simple but more than enough for me: toast, jelly, fried egg and bacon. There are also numerous options for breakfast in the city. I enjoyed my stay very much, will definitely stay again. Tours that you can take: Wang’s Courtyard is 30 minutes by car and Zhangby’s Fortress is about 30 minutes from Wang’s Courtyard. Traveling tips: To get to Pingyao by train: Beijing to Pingyao: only a few times per day (This is the best option if you are coming from Beijing) Otherwise: Beijing to Pingyao or Shanghai to Pingyao Air China Taiyuan to Pingyao: Rake the fast train that is ~ 30-40 minutes. Business class is 56 rmb Coming back to Beijing (If you miss direct train to Beijing) -Pingyao rail station to Taiyuan South. ( Do not get off on Taiyuan station, you must to go Taiyuan South) I got off the wrong station and had to take a taxi to Taiyuan South which is about 15 minutes with light traffic Taiyuan South to Beijing: 3 hours by fast train.
