Great place to spend couple nights and enjoy the experience of staying inside a forest with a view of ocean from the top. Be in good physical shape as you'll be walking on stone paved slight uphill road for about 25 mins. You'll be crossing 4 shallow puddles. I recommend good trail shoes. Flip flops is a big no no. I highly recommend Polo's cacao tour on his property. Get set for a different experience from the rest and one that you'll remember for many years going forward.

The location is amazing. The river flows around the point where the hostal is located. We could hear the river day and night. So relaxing! The birds and other jungle fauna and flora are wonderful. We slept so well. The river itself was beautiful to explore with boulders and rapids and nice swimming spots. The sand sparkles with golden flakes. The staff and volunteers are so friendly and attentive. We met awesome people there and practiced our Spanish. The eco hostal is true to its mission, very deliberately and creatively conceived by its founder Daan. Very respectful of nature and waste management. WiFi was great. Power and clean water is plentiful. I look forward to my next visit.

The location was great, not far from Palomino - but far enough away to avoid the noise. Carlos and Daisy were fantastic, so kind and welcoming. A different breakfast everyday. We communicated via Google Translate as our Spanish is terrible, and Carlos and Daisy were so patient and understanding with this. Thank you so much - this accommodation is superb.

I was the only one there when I stayed and it was just what I needed. The wifi was good so I managed to get some work done. The breakfast was delicious and Claudio the owner was so welcoming. Lila the dog is adorable and really makes you feel at home ❤️
