Plenty of lovely ocean front restaurants and bars , bonus was National Flag Day on the 2nd July with many extra activities and live music . The bridge is worth a visit and the shopping mall renaissance fort is interesting . Some lovely artwork , historical facts and local produce on the markets . Willemstad is a quaint little town! Lots of narrow streets to walk through! Plenty if bars and restaurants to grab a meal or a beverage. Plenty of souvenior shops too! HINT: If you go further into the town the prices get cheaper!😉 check all the shops before you guy your gifts! There are some bargins! Also, there are a lot of local artists that have items for sale! Be sure to buy a few things from them to support their talents! Lots of wall art too! Many murals have been painted on the walls. Be sure to cross the bridge to OTRABANDA and stroll through the neighborhood to see the AMAZING art work!Kerr - Scored 1010

We reached Willemstad by walking or by hotel shuttle. We enjoyed walking on streets admiring colourful colonial buildings, shopping, drinking at terraces and dining at good restaurants. We planned to visit Mangroves park, however found that entry fee was too expensive.

Willemstad is a quaint, beautiful place. I love the people of Curacao. The food is very good. Many of the restaurants have incredible views. There is plenty of music and dance. The multicultural, warm atmosphere in Curacao is unique. I treasure my time there and wish I had more. The one weak point of Curacao is the shopping. I like walking around the city on both sides of the bridge.
I like walking around the city on both sides of the bridge. It is funny how the stores do not really follow an opening/closure schedule so if you might like doing some shopping you should forget about the beach day and walk around the nice stores. There is a nice and new art gallery called Bagira Artist and Gallery, the artist is an open heart person and her job is superb! She allowed me to visit the installations during a time that everything was closed.

For the price that was charged I expected way more.
For the price that was charged I expected way more. For instance they don't have any parking on site. Very often the closest on-street parking I could find was a long walk away and this was very frustrating. The room we stayed in was shown as ocean view but it was kind of a side view. Again, this would have been fine for much lower cost but at about USD 350 a night I expected at least parking at the facility (even if it meant paying some more). Also charging for Coffee pods was silly, keep in mind I was paying USD 1350 for the stay and they wanted to add 5 more bucks for the coffee pods! Outside of the above, rest was fine. One of the staff was very helpful. Place was very clean and the the full property was well maintained. The main tourist area is about a 15 minute walk so the location is not bad.AAnonymousUnited States of America
