Situated 1,757 metres above sea level and amidst a pine forest, Jubilee Hotel is located in the Troodos Mountains. All the tastefully decorated guestrooms overlook the garden or the mountains. The hotel is located in a great location for trekking in the area. The staff was super-friendly and helped us plan our treks in the area. Breakfast was nice. Ping-pong table outside was great, although buying some better balls would be nice :)
Surrounded by a pine-tree forest, Spring Hotel is located in Platres Village of Limassol. It offers accommodation with mountain and garden views. A very sweet place, with great view of the trees and mountains. With the beautiful sound of the birds and the sound of the waterfall. Mary was also very friendly and helpful , giving us tips of places worth visiting
Hosted in an 1929 stone building, New Helvetia Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Cyprus, ran by the 4th generation of owners and offers free WiFi, and on-site fitness facilities. A very beautiful hotel at a very nice spot, close to the center of the village and in the nature. Nice, clean and comfortable rooms with beds downstairs and a sitting area above as well as a small balcony. The staff is very friendly and polite. As for the breakfast they serve Cyprus breakfast with a variety of nice herbal teas. I would visit it again.
Housed in an early 20th-century building, Semiramis Hotel is set amidst a pine tree forest in Troodos Mountains, within a 15-minutes’ walk from Platres Village. Charming hotel with welcoming and helpful staff. The room was cosy and had good heating, also the restaurant downstairs served tasty food. We also had card and board games to entertain ourselves!
P.S.N. Platres Flats is located in Platres. It offers spacious rooms and fully equipped apartments with garden, mountain or pool views. Free WiFi is available throughout. It's a nice place in a very good location. Small comfortable room with a cosy balcony with fantastic views. We were provided with a welcome pack of fruits, biscuits and wine, it was nice. It's one of the best places to stay in the mountains for sure.
Set in a pine forest on the slopes of the Troodos Moutains, this resort offers a solar-heated pool, a hot tub and a sauna. The Mediterranean Sea is a 35-minute drive away. Wonderful buffet and waiter with a constant smile and excellent demeanour!! Wonderful bed and room.. Lovely ambience of class and revisiting the 60's..
The 4 Oaks Serenity House is located in Platres, 700 metres from Sparti Adventure Park, and provides a patio, garden, and free WiFi. Loved the accommodation. It was beautifully renovated. Verry warm & cozy for the winter season. Loved it. We had so much fun exploring the region. 👍👍👍
There are a wealth of interesting villages around Troodos if you have a car. The nature walks are a welcome relief from the busy cities. Strongly recommend the Troodos Botanical Garden, it is beautiful and completely unexpected.
The weather, scenic view, olympos peak is a must, ate at sun valley restaurant and at the hotel, both were perfect offering a variety of tasty home made food. The road network is excellent. There are countless walks and small villages all around
What I liked the most is the tasty food and the amazing view in our room which was well cleaned. The staff was kind and ready to help. The only thing I didn’t like much is that it was a bit cold in the restaurant. In general, all good! I’d like to come again!
Troodos Village is not so much to look at - but the destination is exciting. Reached by fabulous drive on serpentine roads. Perched high on a gigantic mountain among the pines you find fresh air in summer when it swelters on the coast; and sparkling cold champagne air in winter when there is so often snow cover. And skiing. We were told skiing started mid December a few years running but often starts around 2 Jan. Most ski guests at our hotel are Cypriot families giving their kids s snow experience. Hiking and biking must be main activity. We did not walk due to snow, minus 6 C and our wrong warm weather footgear. We were nestled instead in Jubilee hotel with view out to the contrasts of shining white snow and dark conifers. With WiFi, drinks and dinner (trout) it was peaceful and cosy. Several other restaurants are in the village but not all open. The next stop for us was Kykkos Monastery 60 mins drive down dramatic snowy roads.
Troodos is lovely, est 10'c cooler than Paphos or Larnaca very pleasant. A trip to kaledonia waterfalls is a must. A 30 minute walk up hill and steps but a lovely site. Take a picnic as no stores are at the top. I would also recommend wearing trainers regardless of how hot you are. Platres is a few minutes drive from the waterfall which is a great location for food and the views from most are amazing.
I always adore Troodos and its area. I love the nature in every season. In winter you are able to see the snow and storms, and in summer its really cool place to escape from hot :) There are too many walking-hiking trails and cycling routes. Special food of the area is Bestrofa (trout fish) with mezes and ouzo! We ate in Two Flowers Restaurant - Pedulas. Its a family owned business and always fresh. They have a fireplace and great view of the village from up! I think its easy to wonder around, even if you get lost you are going to see something that you will like, so don't get afraid about getting lost.
