Flensburg is a charming and relaxed city with a nice mix of historic character and waterfront views. The harbor area and old town were definite highlights, offering pleasant walks, shops, and a variety of cozy cafés and local restaurants. Getting around is easy, as most places are within walking distance, especially in the city center. The Fußgänger Zone is really good.

The Fußgänger Zone is really good. The city didn't feel safe at night. The entire city reeks of cigarette smoke. Many people were even smoking tobacco and cannabis at the non-smoking train station.

Flensburg is a hidden gem, especially for Americans.

Flensburg is a hidden gem, especially for Americans. We were told many times that they don't see many Americans in Flensburg, and for us we liked that. The people are very friendly and welcoming. We love the German and minority Danish populations. The shop owners and people we met were always friendly.

Our first visit to this interesting town.

Our first visit to this interesting town. It was lovely looking at the courtyards along Roter Straße & strolling through the pedestrian area & alongside the harbour. The walk up to the Lion Monument was pretty & the cemetery was interesting. We easily found supermarkets to do our own catering for meals.

Unfortunately, the main street is dirty, rubbish everywhere, front gardens mainly not maintenanced. But where we had dinner it was a big open plaza had open air concert -good atmosphere and bins everywhere alongside security staffs... We didn't find a good dog walking area, but we spent only one night there. Eating out: lots of options.

Die Wohnung in der Mühle sind sehr schön renoviert und modern eingerichtet. Es gibt eine gut ausgestattet Küche und ein schönes Bad mit ebenerdiger Dusche. WiFi funktioniert ausgezeichnet. Check-In und Check-out sind ohne Probleme, alle Türen sind durch Zahlencodes zugänglich die man kurz vor Anreise bekommt. Direkt gegenüber sind zwei Supermärkte und zu Fuß ist man sehr schnell am Hafen. Es fahren aber auch Busse direkt vor die Tür. In einer der vier Wohnungen sind Hunde erlaubt :)

We stopped to spend the night on our way back from Germany to Norway, and the hotel which feels like a spa was a pleasant surprise. Indoor parking is possible. The lounge has a cosy feel to it. The location is central and close to an old part of Flensburg. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. We left in the early morning, so we didn't get to try the breakfast. We will certainly go back to this hotel in the near future.

Hotel Ramada staff welcomed us with a big smile and quick administrative procedures. After 5 minutes of formalities we were settled down and already had the keys from the hotel room. Room itself is cozy and surprisingly - with a bath and not a shower. Beds were ok, mattresses still held us in a horizontal position. Complimentary water and snack-surprise if you not need each day cleaning of the room just adding some extra value

Super clean and comfortable! Flensburg is a lovely city and this was the best hostel I've ever stayed at. They allowed me to check in after official check-in times, and gave me super clear instructions and everything went smoothly. Windows and walls were thick so I traffic noise or sounds from other rooms did not bother me. Felt safe as a female solo traveler. Stayed at a one person room, it was spacey and beautiful.
