Gorgeous little hotel in Flensburg. We barely left! Very nice for a relaxing and romantic stay - beautifully fitted out room and excellent vibe happening in the lounge area. Staff were very kind and there are lots of nice little extra touches throughout. Spa and pool were super nice too.

The welcome and service at the hotel are exceptionally personal yet unobtrusive. The hotel was recently renovated, has modern amenities and is very clean. The breakfast is fabulous with homemade spreads and customised service. An added bonus is the central yet quiet location of the hotel.

Flensburg is a beautiful and charming town, and Central Hotel is perfectly located – very close to the main bus station and right at the beginning of the main street. There are plenty of transportation options nearby, from buses to e-scooters. The room was excellent, clean, and well-equipped, and it seems the hotel is developing and upgrading. Everything worked perfectly, and the overall condition was new and fresh. The highlight for me was the strong shower stream – exactly what I needed after a 4-hour train journey. The provided amenities (toothbrush, shaving kit, and grooming set) were also very convenient. Breakfast was wonderful, not crowded, with two buffet lines so you could always get more without waiting. Cleanliness was outstanding, both in the room and the dining area. I also appreciated the option to leave my luggage after checkout and enjoy exploring the town freely. Overall, a great experience – thank you for the amazing hospitality!

Made a last minute reservation of only half an hour before arrival late in the evening, but the friendly staff was very welcoming. Unfortunately kitchen staff already started cleaning the kitchen and therefor being closed. But regardless of that the chef prepared a nice and qualitative meal. The room was very nice and provided that best view ever! Breakfast was not extremely fancy but nevertheless of very high quality!

The Fußgänger Zone is really good.

The Fußgänger Zone is really good. The city didn't feel safe at night. The entire city reeks of cigarette smoke. Many people were even smoking tobacco and cannabis at the non-smoking train station.

Flensburg is a hidden gem, especially for Americans.

Flensburg is a hidden gem, especially for Americans. We were told many times that they don't see many Americans in Flensburg, and for us we liked that. The people are very friendly and welcoming. We love the German and minority Danish populations. The shop owners and people we met were always friendly.

Our first visit to this interesting town.

Our first visit to this interesting town. It was lovely looking at the courtyards along Roter Straße & strolling through the pedestrian area & alongside the harbour. The walk up to the Lion Monument was pretty & the cemetery was interesting. We easily found supermarkets to do our own catering for meals.

Unfortunately, the main street is dirty, rubbish everywhere, front gardens mainly not maintenanced. But where we had dinner it was a big open plaza had open air concert -good atmosphere and bins everywhere alongside security staffs... We didn't find a good dog walking area, but we spent only one night there. Eating out: lots of options.

So sad that we only stayed for one night.

So sad that we only stayed for one night. The city is very lovely and people are very friendly where we had breakfast and late lunch. The fishing harbour is very authentic, we learned a lot about the history etc. If we stayed longer, we would've walk farther to the other side of the bay and go to the beach, but it's an excuse to come back visiting this city.

The cleaning was good. The Spa was really good. Warm water and it’s possible to swim outside, also personal there works kind and helping and nice. kids were happy. Free parking and good personal in hotel. Normal breakfast and tasty food in Bar. The room was clean and big and really nice balcony. We definitely will be back there.

Hotel am Fjord is centrally located in Flensburg, close to the fjord and to restaurants. Very modern and large rooms with excellent beds and bathroom. Nice bar for drinks, and breakfast is also served outside the bar. Perfect safe hotel garage for our car.
