Flensburg is a charming and relaxed city with a nice mix of historic character and waterfront views. The harbor area and old town were definite highlights, offering pleasant walks, shops, and a variety of cozy cafés and local restaurants. Getting around is easy, as most places are within walking distance, especially in the city center. The overall atmosphere feels calm and enjoyable without being too crowded, making it a great destination for a laid-back trip. It’s especially well-suited for couples looking to explore, enjoy the scenery, and spend time in a relaxed setting.

The Fußgänger Zone is really good.
The Fußgänger Zone is really good. The city didn't feel safe at night. The entire city reeks of cigarette smoke. Many people were even smoking tobacco and cannabis at the non-smoking train station.

Flensburg is a hidden gem, especially for Americans.
Flensburg is a hidden gem, especially for Americans. We were told many times that they don't see many Americans in Flensburg, and for us we liked that. The people are very friendly and welcoming. We love the German and minority Danish populations. The shop owners and people we met were always friendly.

Our first visit to this interesting town.
Our first visit to this interesting town. It was lovely looking at the courtyards along Roter Straße & strolling through the pedestrian area & alongside the harbour. The walk up to the Lion Monument was pretty & the cemetery was interesting. We easily found supermarkets to do our own catering for meals.

Unfortunately, the main street is dirty, rubbish everywhere, front gardens mainly not maintenanced.
But where we had dinner it was a big open plaza had open air concert -good atmosphere and bins everywhere alongside security staffs...
We didn't find a good dog walking area, but we spent only one night there.
Eating out: lots of options.

Superb location on the northern end of Flensburg's main shopping street. A wonderfully preserved half-timbered house in one of the old merchant-backyards of the "ancient" Flensburg. Surrounded by shops, cafes, restaurants and nightlife, a short 3-Minutes walk to the bay of Flensburg makes this one of the best locations to stay at, if you want to enjoy the maritime AND the historic part of the town all at once. As a Flensburg native having the opportunity to actually stay in such a house was an amazing experience.

A family-managed hotel, with excellent services, friendly respect-full personal
The location is ideal for visiting the town Flensburg and the surrounding villages and beaches.
Hotel with very good parking possibilities (cars and bikes)
Rooms clean and very modern, equiped with all (and more) necessary infrastructure for both short and long lime accommodation.
The breakfast is excellent. The restaurant offers also international and particularly greek specialities.

We liked this hotel. Very nice and clean room, we had everything we needed, even a kettle and a coffee maker, which was a bonus. We enjoyed breakfast, which was served by very friendly staff directly to our table. Parking was free and was available, but just in the daytime, in the evening it was full, unfortunately. Anyway, we could park 10 meters away on the street.

The staff were very friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist with any questions. The location was excellent and very convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and transportation. The cleanliness of the hotel was also very good, and both the room and common areas were well maintained throughout our stay.
