The location is wonderful, probably unique, high on the valley side, in quiet forest. Many of the guests will be coming and going daily walking the Malerweg, but access to this amazing location is also possible by forest track and car. There’s the possibility of a wonderful breakfast overlooking the beautiful Saxon Switzerland landscape, before a day walking the trails. Very nice evening meals available upto 18.30, but there’s also very good inns and restaurants in the surrounding villages if you are out later. There is also a free pass that allows you to use local trains, buses and ferry’s to explore the area, which is a great idea and cuts down on people driving. We had a great time walking sections of the Malerweg using the passes to get to starting points and walking back to a lovely meal as the sunset and a comfortable bed with nothing but the sound of the wind in the trees to lull you to sleep!

First of all I need to clarify that check-in in this hotel is NOT limited to 14:00-16:00 as this is mentioned by Booking.com, but rather not having any time limits !! -- we were stressed to arrive to hotel before 16:00, while this was not needed at all ;-)) -- In fact once you arrive to hotel you contact the property, and they will provide you a code and point you to the key-box to unlock with the given code. In the key-box you'll find the key for your room and the key to enter the hotel. That's all !! -- and this is regardless the time you're arriving !! ;-)) Now, once this point is covered, all you need to know is that this hotel is on the very beautiful country side, and in the past was one of the famous places for the rally race !! -- the history of this time of rally races in the past is very present in this hotel, and you may discover many interesting and surprising things for yourself ! Additionally the hotel is very clean, comfortable, quiet -- all you need for the great staying or a short pause along your traveling. Not to forget a very nice breakfast you get in the morning !! -- and people in hotel are so kind, that you just feel good from the first minutes of staying ;-)) And of course just bear by you have a city of Dresden where you can spend days and nights and still discover something new on every next visit..

Everything was literally perfect. It Felt like all the furnishings, all the facilities and all the service had been organised with the Comfort and enjoyment of the customers in mind - from the windscreen scrapers in the Lobby to help clean the car from the fallen Snow to the device / book holder by the Side of the bed to the reward System for not requiring housekeeping every day when not strictly necessary and of course the incredibly efficient , professional and friendly members of staff. We absolutely loved it !!! Thank you, Sennerhuette Landhotel! We will certainly be back! :-)

An absolutely amazing place to stay! The hotel is surrounded by stunning nature — only about 20 minutes from the Bastei National Park and around 40 minutes from Dresden. The view from the property is simply breathtaking and makes you want to stay forever. The rooms are beautifully designed, spacious, and very comfortable — a perfect place to relax after exploring the area. The whole atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming, ideal for anyone looking to recharge and enjoy some quiet time in nature. The hotel restaurant is fantastic! The food is fresh, delicious, and prepared with great attention to detail. The staff are incredibly kind, attentive, and make you feel truly cared for from the moment you arrive. I can’t recommend this place highly enough — it’s a hidden gem where you instantly feel at home and leave with a smile.

A delightful village in Saxony with fascinating rock formations, an excellent tourist office, the Guest card gave free transport on busses, trains and ferries. The bus timetables were very difficult to decipher. The tourist office was very helpful with providing transport routes and walking route information. Unfortunately the grocery shop was closed in August for holidays, so the lebensmittel was in Bad Schandau. The ‘serpentine’ road became a raceway for youngsters on noisy motor bikes some afternoons.

The place is next to a road but the traffic did not bother...

The place is next to a road but the traffic did not bother us. Room was clean and so was the bathroom. We stayed one night and did not meet any staff member though we got to speak to one over the phone , who was helpful though he didnt speak much English. Although the place met our needs the price was too high for the amenities available

The price-performance ratio is really a bargain for this...

The price-performance ratio is really a bargain for this kind of unique location. Really recommend checking this venue out. So many hikes around. One can directly hike from the hotel to Bastei Bridge or go with a Bus as well. Really pretty town with a lot of views.

Personal was really good, friendly and helpful. Room was clean, but not really big for family of three. Breakfast were good, but there wasn't any deserts. Hotel is close to nice track and the city center. I would definitely recommend wellness that has huge saunas. Wellness was really clean.
